Moevenpick Resort El Gouna, Bor Safajah

I like the hotel , it is clean ,good service , but do not stay in far clusters , some rooms are far from the main building and restaurant . Swimming pool is clean and we enjoyed the water a lot . I have been there twice and if I have the chance to go again I will do ,it is a very relaxant place.

This resort/hotel is second to none. We stayed there for 2 weeks in September 2005 and have booked to return in September 2006. We stayed in a lagoon Villa on Cluster 8 which was magnificent. The staff were very fiendly and we are still in toch with many of them via email and SMS some 9 months later. Both downtown and the Marina offer excellent resteraunts and if you want some nightlife Palma is open until 4am. There is a shuttle bus service which picks up at the hotel going downtown and to the marina. It operates 7am until 2am and costs £1 per week! If you want a relaxing hassle free holiday then this is the place to be. roll on September - can't wait to return and meet up with Alaa & Osama again

I have been recommended this hotel by an Egyptian Consultant that I work for - he owns two properties in Hurghada. I asked where the best placeto stay is and he has without hesitation told me to visit this hotel, When he goes back to Egypt he always spends a couple of night at the Movenpick. The location has been recommended as the best in El Gouna. I will be booking a holiday sometime this year without a doubt.

i like the whole area, swiming pool, room space, facilities and food we were a honey mooners at that time, do you think it make a difference???

I didn't visit the resort yet but every body visit it gives me a terrific feedback about it so that they made me anxious to visit it ASAP

Movenpick -have mixed feelings on this resort.Rooms were very large and clean but they are laid out in clusters and we were in cluster 7 which took us about 15mins to walk to the restaurant and reception,found it a bit of a trek especially in the heat of july!Would recommend anyone less able to ask to be roomed in clusters 3/4 where you are closer to main building.The staff were very helpful & polite especially in reception,nothing too much trouble,beach was huge but had to walk out for miles to get water above knees!(ideal for children)having said that,3 pools &the lagoons were all deep enough to swim in.This hotel is lovely,but we found it a bit impersonal,probably because it is such a large complex.El Gouna itself is fabulous-the marina was our favourite ,loads of great restaurants & downtown was brill for shopping,locals really friendly-novelty not to be hassled-(not allowed in area)-having been to Sharm &Hurgada this was a pleasant change.If you want a relaxing holiday this is an ideal hotel,not much in the way of entertainment at the hotel,but plenty of nightlife in the area if required.One comment I have to make-vast majority of guests were german-no sense of fun & yes,grab that sunbed!!

although a huge complex never felt busy as so many sunbathing locations set around the lagoon, beach and pool areas. staff so polite, cleanliness of complex and rooms immaculate. would recommend bed and breakfast, superb choice, as in el gouna so many authentic restaurants to try and very cheap especially at the marina, just returned from 14 nights at the movenpick april, weather perfect nights can be a bit chilly at this time
