Made my wedding "not so special"
We had our wedding in the Celebration Hotel. The wedding went fine. But when I when to check out I was told I owed $705 for the 3 extra days that I had previously requested and asked be included in the contract price. What caused this issue is that I had called my sales person, Nicole not once, but twice weeks before the wedding to ask if the 3 extra days were included in the price because I didn't want any surprises in the end. She assured me it was taken care of, not once, but TWICE! Great, then I was billed $705 on my bank card which in turn bounced my checking account! To added to the mix up I was billed a 10% charge for a room which I had previously asked for a price match from an internet quote. I didn't ask for a reservation only to match the price if the other persons did show up it would be last minute because one is a professional music and may have had to tour. I asked that their room not be charged to my account and was told it wouldn't be. Upon checking out, I was told the General Manager, Richard would call me. I waited until the next day and called him first and left a message, he then returned my call the next day. They have refunded (I was told, I haven't seen it yet) the $190.97 but will not refund the $705. Richard said he'd send me a free 2/3 stay good for a year...that will not fix my bank account or pay my bills! If he can give me free nights why not refund my money?! Who in their right mind would go back there?! They were concerned with the SALE ONLY and DID NOT LISTEN to my questions or concerns about the total payment before the wedding! I feel hurt. I can't afford to pay my bills this month or buy any wedding pictures. Something that was suppose to be special and unforgettable is now a sore wound. Thanks CELEBRATION HOTEL for NOTHING...
