Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Mountain View Palo Alto, Mountain View

The staff at this hotel is very unfriendly and uncooperative.I had a reservation for my sister for the Holiday Inn Express in Mountain View. For some reason, my sister arrived at the wrong Holiday Inn Express in Mountain View (there are two on the same street). The manager couldn't find the reservation under her name so she assumed a mistake was made and ended up staying at the wrong Holiday Inn Express. This hotel still charged her full price even though she never showed up. Clearly my sister didn't know that there are two Holiday Inn Express' in Mountain View on El Camino Real. And clearly she couldn't know that she was at the wrong place without the hotel manager being able to find her reservation and tell her. This hotel's manager was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful and refused to reimburse the charge despite trying to explain to him that a series of honest mistakes had been made. I expect a hotel manager to be more forthcoming in user friendly in situations like this.

Continental breakfast and all you can eat and yes, you may take out. The rooms are so clean and wooden floors. You are given an option to purchase a lap desk. Fully equipped bathroom and shower. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to please you.

The only thing I disliked about the hotel was its positioing-I had to make u-turns in order to get there from the north and the same thing if I was headed south on El Camino Real. It's reaching for something negative, yes, but it is somewhat annoying.

I stayed in this hotel a number of times and overall it's a nice place. Not too fancy, but just what you need, clean, friendly etc. However the top floor room next to the elevator is terrible, you can hear the motor whenever anyone uses it. If you don’t have that room, you’ll have a perfect stay. The pool has trees which hang over it so there is a little tree shrapnel to deal with but nothing major. The beds are okay, but a little stiff.

Overall a nice place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly. Finding my room was not easy. (room 407 on the 2nd floor?) I didn't seem to get how the building was laid out until I looked over the floor plan in my room info. Too confusing. But the room was much better than I expected. Very nice and the bed was just like the one I have at home. That was a nice surprise. I will be staying here again.
