Hotel Puri, Melaka

We like its centralize, historic location. The service was very good. The sitting area in the garden is also a great place to relax and have a cuppa. A great place to bring young kids on an educational tour too.

We stayed in the Puri hotel for three nights and loved our time there. The hotel is beautiful and only a short stroll to all major attractions of Melaka. The breakfast was included in the price, very good, lots to choose from. The only minus was the reception staff who were not really friendly. Restaurant staff was very nice.

This hotel is located in a beautifully restored old peranakan mansion in Heeren St or "Millionaires row." I stayed for 5 nights. I arrived and was made to feel at home. My name was used every time I was greeted. My room was very comfortable and clean. The room was also very tastefully decorated. The food from the Galleri restaurant was delicious and they make a good Gin 'n Tonic! The buffet breakfast was also great with a variety of Western and local dishes. You can eat inside the restaurant, or outside in their lush green garden. I found all the staff very knowledgable about Melaka and Malay culture. The hotel is situated right in the middle and within easy walking distance from most tourist attractions and the antique shops in Jonker street. The friendly front office staff were also very helpful in arranging transport for me in Melaka and to KLIA. I will most certainly stay here again!
