Not what we thought...
Our family stayed at this resort in the beginning of August 06. We had to change rooms because our room had a view of the West wing looking into our room (after we were told that we were getting mountain views) and the bedroom consisted of a bed (no dresser, T.V., and a window that was at least 11 feet up from the floor - you needed a pole to open the blinds). We believe that the sheets and the comforter were Heavenly, but the mattress was not what a Westin considers the "Heavenly Bed". The room we were moved to was a lot better, but, the view was not great. We did not care about the view by then - we just wanted to get out of our first room. The two bedroom suites suited the rest of our family's needs and they were wonderful. The Fire Rock lounge had wonderful bartenders and the spa was wonderful. Overall though, we would not go back to the Westin Whistler.
