My mother and I just retuned home last week from an eight day stay at Scottsdale Links Resort. First of all we got a better deal staying at this resort than the 15 hotes I called! I wish we could have attended for a vacation but I had to go to the Mayo Clinic every day for tests, procedures, etc. My mother was my rock and I was thankful she was with me. We would get up at 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and not get home sometimes until dark. It was so nice to come back to such a "warm and friendly environment." It was such a stressful time for us yet the staff helped us to feel calm and let us know they cared and if we needed anything at all they would be there for us. My mother had a sister and my cousin who visited Saturday and Sunday during our stay. During one of their visits on Saturday my cousin and I went for a walk and saw someone knocking on our door with something that looked like a pizza box. I laughed and said "I think someone got the wrong room but pizza sure sounds good doesn't it?" As my cousin and I got to our room my mother showed me what "Ashley" had brought to our room. It was a decorated cookie from a local bakery with "Congratulations" on it and a beautiful card with a bible verse enclosed. (I had found out the previous day the few tests left I could get done back home at my local hospital). I started crying because this touched my heart.. You see, this is what matters most in life to me. That there are still good and kind people in this world! The staff was courteous, friendly and went MORE than the extra mile. They didn't have to, but they did. I can never say "thank you" enough! GOD BLESS ALL OF THE STAFF AND MR. CLOOBECK for your kindness!
I stayed at the Scottsdale Link Resort this past week.. And I went there on a time share, from a good friend of mine... I was very displeased with the attitude of the manager.. First I get there and there are only rooms that were not refurbished yet.. It stunk, and made my feet durty.. There was stains all over the sofa and chairs.. The air conditioner ran all night.. and it was hot... The vents blow straight on the bed... And because I complained.. The guy said that he would send me to another room.. But if this was not to my liking, I could go some where's else.. I checked in On July 16 and stayed till the 22nd... The whole time I was in that room, no one came to my room.. Never got it cleaned.. no linens, no anything from anyone... I was concedering doing time shares, until I saw how people are treated in these places.. I will never spend my vacation in this place again.. And I will never recomend any of my friends or family to stay here...
but don't think we'll be going back. As an exchange in our timeshare we spent a week here. The room was great as well as the service. The staff was always professional and friendly. However, relaxing was not really possible. Unknown if it was the echo of the buildings, but it was not a quiet and relaxing place. There was always something going on somewhere. The balcony was off the guest room not the master bedroom, there weren't enough wastebaskets throughout the unit. Unknown who (maybe previous guest) moved the DVD player to the bedroom and wires hanging out, light switches that didn't turn anything off or on. The a/c as well as the master bathroom fan were so loud the bedroom door had to be shut to hear the tv. Some of the amenitites were tired, looked older and needed some care. Overall it was pleasant, especially the staff. Very welcoming and accomodating.
We booked some rooms for my family during the summer. We knew that the links use to be a condo, so we didn’t have high expectations. We got there and were immediately disappointed by the check in process. We were asked about the sales presentation and attending a 90 minute presentation at a nearby resort. We told them no, and the person checking us in insisted that we consider the presentation. I told him no repeatedly and that I had my family in the car and they were waiting on me. He then asked if my wife was calling the shots and if he should come out to the car and talk to her about the presentation. I again said, “no” and asked for my key cards. He then started to tell me how this was his job and he needed to book people into the presentation. I finally grabbed my key cards off the desk and thanked him for checking me in. The rest of our stay was excellent. Our family had a great time and the rooms were large and pleasant.
My girlfriend and I traveled to Arizona for vacation. The Scottsdale Links Resort was great!! The rooms were very clean, great beddings and really nice bath towels.
We had a great time. The best breakfast is at The Good Egg. Make sure you get a massage at Massage Envy it was fabulous. For lunch we went to Catino Laredo (forgive spelling) great mexican food, can also attend for dinner. The best italian food was Arrivideci restaurant.
We wanted to relax and have fun and we did. Make sure you visit the Old Scottsdale downtown (a little pass the Fashion Square Mall-which by the way is nice as well). If you like to shop for great jewelry downtown is the best.
For a one day trip (or even stay overnight) in Sedona, Az the most beautiful place in Az. Make sure that you do a Pink Jeep Tour it was fantastic. Aslo, pleanty of shopping to do.
I would highly reccommend Scottsdale Links Resort, because of accommodations, location, and friendly service.
We stayed here last March and found the location to be central to attend Cactus League games. It was previously a condo facility so the units are large with huge closets. This is not really a resort but we would definitely stay here again because of the central location and size of the units.
We stayed there Sept. 2006 and we loved it.I just booked a trip there again Sept. 2007.I will be spending my birthday at Scottsdale Links again. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Two big bathrooms, nice kitchen. We are centrally located to all the local sites. The staff were very helpful and knowlegeable.A great place to return for a vacation.I would highly recommend this timesharing.
This is a very nice resort...very quiet. Not the most elegant of timeshares, but still very nice. The spa was "OUT OF ORDER", which was disappointing. No on site restaurant, but we knew that and prepared with a lot of groceries. Speaking of groceries, carrying it upstairs to the 3rd floor really tested your physical condition. It is quite a haul. It would be nice if an elavator was available.
Crew as very friendly and helpful. But the internet was not available. Also, NO Stereo was available in the room if you wanted to just listen to music while just wanting to sit and read a book and "chill out and relax".
Overall, a very nice resort. Deserving of a solid four star rating.. It would have gotten a fifth star from me if not for the negative mentioned above.
We thoughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. The room was clean, modern, and felt like home rather than a hotel. The staff was very helpful. We especially liked the book in our room of suggested Phonix area activities and sites.
You should know that this resort is a 3-story complex and if anyone in your group has difficulty climbing stairs, make sure to request a lower level.
