Holiday Inn Litchfield, IL
Decent rooms when the staff cleans them. Came back to the hotel today after work (been here for quite a while now on business) and the coffee pot was still dirty and haven't had a replacement coffee grind pouch for the coffee maker at all this week...good thing I had extras from the last time I was here. Cleaning rags have been left in the room the other day...and today some of my bedding was left off of the bed and laying on the foot rest for the chair that is in the room. All of these things are minor though...no reason for me to not come back at all.
The thing that gets to me the most is the internet connection here. It's all wireless...and when it works it's fine. But it doesn't like to work all that much. I get disconnected from the internet at least 20-30 times a day for a couple minutes at a time. Very frustrating. I believe it's because of the security program that they have in place here. When you first try to access the internet instead of going to your home page it loads a page where you have to click a box to agree to their internet usage policies and then you can click to connect to the internet. Then you can have access for 24 hours. That's fine and all....but I think when anyone tries to access for their first time of the day it blocks everyone on the network from getting past the wireless routers they have here and that's when it disconnects you from the internet. Then you can get back on once that person finally accepts the agreement and the network allows traffic again. Very frustrating sometimes. I can be connected for an hour or so without interruption...and sometimes I won't be connected more than a few seconds before my computer tells me it's lost communications with the internet.
Take it for what you will....it's not a bad place to stay at all. But if you like to have a consistant internet connection then you might want to look elsewhere.
