Awful Service
The staff lacks intelligence, basic social skills, and accountability. They are indolent, roguish, passive-aggressive, and cowardly. You will see that the staff here can care less about their job; let alone know how to do it. Upon check-in, I went to my room to find the housekeepers watching TV. I asked for a different room and was shown a second room that smelled like urine. After I chose the lesser of the two evils, I was asked if I wanted the carpet in the first room to be cleaned. I had to wait over an hour for it to be cleaned and to get a decent working air conditioner. I also noticed the floors were sticky and the bed was lopsided. Jilly told me I had to wait out the weekly term before changing rooms. I had to put pillows under the mattress to make the bed even, since I was told that all of the others beds are in the same condition. When I called to change rooms, Robyn initially said there were rooms available but reneged after I told her I was a current guest. I insisted on a new room and bed and she said she would call me in two hours. She never called, so I called her for two hours straight and she didn’t answer. Six hours later, I finally got in touch with her and she was extremely sarcastic. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. I asked for a corporate contact and she said they are not allowed to give it out. When I tried to pay the weekly rate, she could not perform basic math equations and tried to overcharge me. Robyn was so rude that I told Jilly that Robyn would probably throw away the mail I was expecting, and I think she did since I did not receive any of my mail. One day I had to block the maintenance guy from entering my room after he showed up spontaneously. I was especially uncomfortable because the day before he asked me when I would be away from my room. I told Lee, the new manager about the situation, and not surprisingly I found out he has never worked in an office before. Coupled with the fact that he stared at my chest the entire time I was talking, it is obvious (although he’s middle-aged) that this is his first real job. He can’t even work the telephone! One day, I called nine times in a row and each time he picked up the phone and hung it up. Other times, he just let the phone ring off the hook without it rolling to voicemail. Lee also has a ‘stone face’: he’s emotionally vacant. One day I told him I was expecting a FedEx delivery, and he refused the package. He lied and said he was not around, but FedEx told me the package was refused at the office. I went to my room to find that the housekeeper decided not to clean my room. On prior occasions, I had to personally ask her to clean my room and call management to remind her to do it. Although she only had to vacuum the floor and give me a new trash bag and sheets, she couldn’t even do that! When I told Lee, he said absolutely nothing. I had suggest how he should resolve the issue since he doesn’t have the intelligence to think of anything. He gave me an incomplete set of sheets then blatantly refused to bring me the pillowcases. When I asked why he would not bring them to my room, he said “Because I won’t!” This place is full of issues: sometimes there is not enough water pressure for the toilet to flush, the air coming out of the air conditioner smells like mildew and makes me sneeze, the bedsprings are so old that they are broken, the breezeways smell like urine, the so called ‘clean’ sheets have oil handprints and makeup stains on them because of the poor quality washing detergent used, the rooms have an old stale smell you can’t get rid of with Lysol and plug-ins, people throw their trash outside of their door, drunk people argue outside at night while others sit outside in lawn chairs. If you have a ‘pot to piss in’ then you have more than both this place and the people that work here can offer. Don’t let good money go to waste.
