Totally disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/09
Cabin was dirty, pool table stained with who knows what. Bed is very uncomfortable. Dog hairs all over the place. Noisy partying all over property. No privacy as other cabins are on a hill overlooking the Oasis allowing them to see down into the cabin. Listed as a luxury cabin, give me a break. Will never stay there again. Stay at Oak Haven and save money and stay in clean cabins.

Booking third cabin soon!
By Brenda, 10/01/09
We are getting ready to book our third cabin through Timber tops. I love that there is plenty of variety in cabins and locations. We had a water leak in the cabin on our last trip, fixed quickly and at our convenience! People are friendly and really go out of their way to assist you in choosing a cabin. To the last reveiwer: CALL and make a reservation.

Do not use Timber Tops
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/09
Their online booking is not a secure encrypted connection. All credit card information needs to go through an ssl and they do not have one. You are basically sending out your credit card information, completely legible, to the entire internet. If they are this lax with your credit cards online, what does that say about their care for your business?

Very happy with our cabin.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/09
My daughters, sisterin-law, friends and grandkids stayed and we had plenty of clean towels, clean very nice soft beds that you want to bring home with you and a very good view and the hot tub was great. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone. We are going to try and go back in a couple of months. We stayed at Bear Serenity. Oh and the kids loved the room with the wall to wall couch and entertainment center. "CARS" never looked so good. Vicky Lawrenceburg, TN

Had a Blast!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
I just got back yesterday from my stay in "Bluebirds Over the Smokies". I have read over lots of the reviews of Timber Tops and I am sorry that people had a bad experience, but as in life....it's hit or miss. Unfortunately for every good experience, someone is going to have a bad one. And then there are the reviews that are just a little too critical. I can't speak for the ligitimate issues but.......... Keep this in mind. Check out is at 11AM, so the cleaning crew has only 5 hours to get the cabins ready for the next occupants. I am also pretty sure they have 3 or 4 cabins to clean and not just that one, so having a pristine cabin probably isn't going to happen. Yes, we had some stray dominos and other toys under the couches and tables....so what!!!! Also, don't expect perfect games either. At some point, yes the company will need to replace worn out pool tables and ping pong tables, but it's not their fault that renters don't know how to treat these items!!! It was sad that the cabinet of board games was unusable because parents let their children destroy the games and take out all the peices and then blame Timber Tops for it!!! i don't know how the couch beds worked because we didn't need them, but if they are broken, call the office and let them know and don't just complain about it later. Another thing to keep in mind is that, YES the cabins are smaller than they appear in the pictures. But....this is all a part of advertising and shouldn't be held against the company. Bottom line, is that i had a wonderful experience, and the staff was very nice and the cabin was in perfect working order and had a million dollar view!!! Fortunately we didn't encounter any of the problems that others did and the little things didn't bother me. My suggestion is if you want a squeaky clean place with not one dent, rip, or speck of dust than you should probably look into building your own cabin in Gatlinburg and not renting. As any rental company, they have a continuous flow of people renting the cabins out, so problems WILL occur and the furniture and games WILL start showing some wear and tear, but make the most of it. I had a blast!!!

Gatlinburg Lights
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/09
The cabin was pretty much like the photos on the website except it wasn't as clean as we would have liked. The windows were filthy. There were bugs on ledges that looked like no one ever cleaned these areas. Not enough rockers on the porches although when you look at the photos it shows plenty. The charcoal grill was filthy. It looked like no one had ever cleaned it. The grill was hard to clean because the grill utensils were not there. Luckily we had brought our own. The location was beautiful and the lights of Gatlinburg at night were awesome from this cabin. The media room was a nice feature and the hot tub was clean. When we had a couple of issues, maintenance did come out and take care of things. All and all, it was a fun time and we enjoyed ourselves. It would be worth the money if they would just maintain the property on a regular basis, but I would recommend it to others.

3rd stay @ Timbertops Cabins
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/09
This will be my 3rd time staying in a cabin at the TimberTops Cabins. Previously I have stayed in Winds Kerry, now known as Southern Comfort, A Picture Perfect View and will be staying in LadyBug. My first visit with Timbertops was back in 2002. The cabin was everything it was described as and had the most gorgeous sunset imaginable!!! Never mind the fact that I had to be peeled off the floorboard after we arrived up the steep, winding, narrow mountain roads. The service, cleanliness, location and value were more than adequate in 2002. Our next visit was back in 2007 where we stayed in A Picture Perfect View. Same mountain road, steep, curvy and narrow not to mention no rails or anything on the one side of the road with huge drop-offs. Disappointed in the view, no sunset view whatsoever though I specifically requested it, but still a beautiful view. the cabin wasn't very clean, the wood on the rockers outside left slivers and were old and rickety, the hot tub didn't work and even after they sent someone up to "fix it" the hot tub still didn't work but intermittantly. The room with the pool table in it was so small you couldn't actually hit the balls in certain spots or you would put a hole in the wall, only 2 of the pool sticks weren't broke, the air hockey table didn't work and was so wobbly we were afraid it would break when we touched it. I will be reporting back after our 3rd trip next week.

BAD CHOICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/09
We recently stayed at cabin Secluded Pleasure with Timber Tops Luxury Cabins. We were excited after seeing the pictures on the website. However we were quickly disappointed when we arrived. The beautiful windows were so dirty you did not even want to look out. The bed was very poor quality, not what you would expect from a luxury cabin. The first morning there I got in the Jacuzzi tub and turned it on and black slime went all over me. We went down to complain and was told it would be taken care of. It took them 3 complaints and two days to clean the tub. We have stayed at several cabins with other companies and never had these types of problems. We will never use this company again.

Wonderful getaway weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/09
Everything was great....dishes were clean, no dust to be found anywhere. Hot tub was clear, bathrooms were spotless and we had plenty of towels to get us through our 3 night stay. The picture shown on line made the cabin look larger than what it really was, but we had plenty of room. Our cabin was Wildwood Overlook. It was in the mountain, but not too far away from town. I would definitely return and spend some more time. Want to mini golf? Try Hillibilly Miniature Golf in Gatlinburg. We had a blast.

Timber Tops is not luxury.
By teri, 05/27/09
Houeskeeping was terrrible. The hot tubs don't get dumped and filled when a guest checks out. . It does no good to dump the hot tub if you don't use some type of chemicals to clean it before refilling. Don't wear white socks. If you do after a few minutes of walking on the floor they will be black. The fridge was nasty. The oven had a diry baking pan in it. There was vomit on the sofa sleeper mattress. We found several hairs in the bathtub and sink.......that was nasty. 2 remotes were missing and 1 remote had dead batteries. This is suppose to be luxury if it were housekeeping would do a much better job. We usually stay with The Preserves and for now on will stay with them. I wouldn't stay with Timber Tops even if they paid me!!!
