Reservation Issue
We did not actually stay here, due to the comdy of errors, and blatant unprofessionalism and rudeness that occurred while trying to make a reservation. I called the hotel directly, and was quoted $119 by "Nubia". I asked her how many rooms were left at this rate, and was told 32. Realizing my CC was upstairs, I called back in 5 minutes, and was told by "Brittany" the room was $159, because it was only the other girl's 2nd day on the job.
I spoke with a manager named Nick Peebles, who said they absolutely wouldn't honor the $119 rate, because the girl's only been on the job a full week (which is it, a week or a day?), and it was very busy night. I said she told me there were 32 rooms left, and he said "Oh, there are". He still would not budge, because it's a Keeneland weekend. Someone on the job a week should be able to look up rates in the system by now. When I mentioned this, he responded that since she was still a trainee they'd "have to iron out the kinks with her". I asked for his supervisor and was told the GM was Joe Elliott. When I asked for the regional VP, he said "there isn't one. We're independently owned."
I asked for the owner's contact info, and was referred to Joe Elliott again. I was then placed on hold and told to call an Abby Dalton, because she is the district manager over all the Lexington properties. She conveniently was off, so I did leave VM. In the end, I did pay the $159. To stay at Hilton Garden Inn.
