Why we didn't stay

We had initially scheduled our stay at the Jameson Inn in Decherd, TN, for the Dogwood Festival. I did this last last year, and was quoted a rate of $65.00/night. Later on, I checked online and the rate was posted as $72.00/night. When I called to confirm my reservation several months ago, I was told the rate was $85.99/night! Needless to say, I canceled our reservation. According to the locals in Winchester, Jameson Inn does this all the time - they will quote one price and change it as time goes by for their convenience. They do not stand by their quoted price. The Inn is never without a vacancy, probably due to this practice.

Would stay again

Overall it was pretty good. Their breakfast wasnt too bad. The only thing that kinda grossed me out was the gravey. It was fresh the first morning (because there was a huge wedding,I was told) and very good, in fact everything was. However I noticed on the second, third n fourth morning, it seemed to be the same gravey that was left over, each morning it seemed to get a little thicker n yellower LOL. (And no I didnt eat any of the gravey after the first morning!) The rooms were very clean, safe for children n animals. Staff was very nice and professional as well. Seemed a little to pricey though. The only thing that I really didnt like was the limited cable channels, and the fact that there was only one high chair in the breakfast area.
