Wonderful location and great staff

While traveling from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Shreveport, Louisiana to visit family my mother's car broke down outside of Dickson, Tennessee. The staff at the dealership suggested the Super 8 Motel as we would have to spend the night in this little town. It was a great recommendation. The price (barely $60) was great for a room with two double beds. Bathroom was nice and the air conditioner worked fantastic (it was 102 degrees outside). My niece, sister-in-law and I loved the dip in the pool after having been stranded in a car on the side of the highway in 100degree heat. The staff was friendly. A bonus as we didn't have a vehicle was the overall location of this hotel. It was within walking distance to a McDonald's, convenience store, Cracker Barrel, Farmers family restaurant, and a Ruby Tuesdays so we had the pick of where to get lunch and dinner. The little continental breakfast was nice, and had a bigger assortment of food than I was expecting (cereals, breads, muffins, waffles and a variety of hot and cold beverages). If you are ever on your way through Tennessee on I-40 and are in need of a good hotel to spend the night then I recommend the Super 8 at exit 172 in Dickson.
