Mostly Men

We recently obtained a room at the Sleep Inn in Winston Salem but did not stay the night. When we arrived we put our bags in the room and went for an early dinner. Upon our return we decided to enjoy sitting outside on the patio. During that time we witnessed an excessive amount of alcohol consumption in the parking lot as well as other interesting behaviors that made us realize we had made a poor choice of location. We went to the room and called the service desk to ask for a refund, then gathered our luggage and checked out.
I attempted to explain my safety concerns to the front desk clerk when I took the keys down but was told I would have to speak with the manager who was not in at the time. I did speak to the manager but was not given a refund but excuses for bad behavior. I was told that they have very little control over who stays at the hotel so I chalked this one up to a bad choice on my part.
I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
