Avoid this place if you have allergies
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/10
The room reeks of Tide . . . now if you're a fan of laundry detergent, that may be nice. I am allergic to Tide. I have a migraine after being in the room for an hour. Yes, it's nice that the bedding was washed -- however, properly washed bedding doesn't retain this much aroma. I also note that this is NOT an ADA compliant facility . . . no reamps, no elevators. I carried my rolling luggaage to my second floor room. In the morning, I will go elsewhere. I will not be back.

Very disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/07
Given false information about location and year hotel was built, the company would not cancel our reservations. After checking in we noticed a very disturbing odor. After refusing to let The Front Desk Attendant come spray our room we checked out after 15 minutes. We are very disappointed with the quality of care with The Holiday Inn Express. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our experience was awful, and don't want anyone else to endure what we had to.

A nice place to stay with a family...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/07
We stayed at this hotel while visiting Hershey Park this summer. We were very happy with our choice, the price was fair, the beds were comfortable, the hotel was clean. The pool was nice and the complimentary breakfast was perfect for a family. It included choices for any type of diet and things for the kids as well. It was about 8 miles from Hershey Park and Chocolate world, which was not a big deal at all. There were chain restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc) and shopping (Target, Kohl's, Best Buy) all close by. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to a friend.

Disappointing
By Al, 5/15/07
* uncomfortable bed * inconvenient layout * semi-questionable neighborhood * not the cleanest Compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses, this place is a dump. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, the room not dirty but not clean like other hotels in the chain (Victor, NY, for example) We expected much better from a Holiday Inn Express. I no longer am sure what to expect from this chain, after my experience there.

good value for money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/06
I liked the staff and how well we were treated when we needed assistance (like extra pillows). We stay there about once a year but I've noticed that it seems to be considerably better managed this past year. Extremely clean, great breakfast, helpful staff etc.

Nice rooms, worst staff ever
By Steve, 7/21/06
This is a nice property in a good loaction. The breakfast was pretty good also. Unfortunatly the staff is terrible. I was given an occupied room at check-in, I could not get towels from the staff and was just blown off. I reported this to the manager who seemed to be in a coma. Replace the staff here and this would be a nice property worth staying at.

Nice Hotel
By Adam, 7/6/06
Me and my friends stayed here in April of 2005 for a Youth Convention that was being held in the area. It was a nice hotel. The lobby was big, although it didn't have an elevator, which kind of upset us, since we had tons of luggage to carry with us. The staff was friendly and brought us extra pillows quickly when we asked for them. The continental breakfast was kind of small, and I'm not really into eating bagels and fruit for breakfast - thankfully, there was a McDonalds just about a five minute walk away, so my friends and I ate there. The only thing that really bothered us was the fact that there was an outdoor pool, but it was closed. We were looking forward to swimming, and we were informed ahead of time that the pool would be opened. Obviously, it wasn't. Other than that, this hotel is a nice hotel for those who really aren't looking for much, other than a place to spend the night.

ALMOST PERFECT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/26/06
After a long 10 hour drive, we were greeted warmly and promptly even though it was late. Our room was large with all the convenient amenities and large queen size beds. In the morning, the staff was very courteous and helpful answering questions. The continental breakfast was the best of any Express we've stayed at before, including sausage and eggs! The only con was the limited TV channels, only about 12...no Weather Channel. We would still stay here again.

Expensive, Clean, Convenient.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/6/05
We stayed at this hotel on Friday, June 3rd. Their regular rate was $179 but we managed to get some kind of discount that brought it to $139. I think that's pretty expensive for a Holiday Inn Express. Thankfully, our room was surprisingly large and spotlessly clean. Conveniently located just off 81 on the corner of 22, it was an easy drive for movies, restaurants, auto museum and Hershey Park. The continental breakfast was fresh with lots of choices although I would have like a larger space for it. Breakfast tables were crammed into the small lobby area with guests having to weave their way between tables to get to and from their rooms or the front door.
