Canad Inns Fort Garry, Winnipeg

We checked in late in the evening and were ready for a good nights sleep. The hotel was very noisy. We called the front desk to ask for security to quiet our neighbors down. We waited awhile and there was no change. We called again and were told that the hotel had lots of people who are evacuated from the north and that they had their OWN security!! Go fiqure !! Even though it was after midnight we left and found a much quieter place just down the road. I would not recommend staying here at all. The hotel seems to think people who are evacuated have more rights than people paying to stay at their hotel.

the room was excellent & newly furnished. Service was excellent, the kids loved it & cant wait to go back!

Your Hotel was recommend to us by some very good friends. They had stayed there last fall and had a great time. Unfortunately our experience was not pleasant at all. The room was in very bad shape, the towels and comfortable were very worn. The walls need painting, and the tables, chairs, closets, etc. all need to replaced or at least repaired. The rooms are not very sound proof, and there was still noise in the hallways at 2 in the morning. Our call to the front desk did nothing to resolve the problem. We ate at both Altos, and the Tavern. Both the Service and the food were terrible. In Atlos we waited 8-10 minutes before our Server came to our table, and when our food finally arrived it was cold. At Tavern, if you are not a Male between the ages of 20-30 do not expect any service. When we checked out on Sunday we expressed our concerns to the Front desk Staff, and to be honest they did not seen interested at all. We asked to speak with the Manager. We were told that there really wasn't one at the moment, and that the Assistant was not available. I think if you are considered one the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada, you really should have a Manager on the property. This may have helped to resolve this situation.

The staff were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the dinner theatre production. The second floor we were in was accessible via a stairway only.( rather challenging with aged hips and joints.The hallway & room were showing signs of age as well.(A hole was punched in the bathroom door.) The area we were in would be great for a family. In the future, I'd request an area within the complex for accessability and quiet for 55+. We will be back for another dinner production.

I'm not sure if the reviews in this site are written by Canad Inns staff. My experience at this hotel was a nightmare. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and had to change rooms twice. The noise of the heating units was unbearable. We couldn't get any sleep. The food at the restaurants is so plane we wondered why bother going out when the options are so bad. On our next trip we stayed at the Inn at the Forks. What a difference!! Totally recommend it.

i enjoyed my last visit the pool ...GREAT!even the manager came to ask how the water was. i liked that alot,room was clean comfordable ,and iv already booked a room there for valentines day , a theme room, im very excited to see it .

We have four children so in most other places we would have to get two rooms. With their theme rooms, we only need one and sleeps all of us comfortably. In September we had to travel to Winnipeg from Alberta for a family member's funeral. We travelled through the night (easier with children) arriving at the hotel at 10:30 a.m. The hotel had no problem allowing us in the room at that time to get ready for the funeral which was another hour and a half away. I think it's important to say that we have stayed at this hotel many times and the price is right, the breakfast is awesome in the Argo's restaurant and the stay has always been great.

Children were treated well. Rooms were cleaned daily and promptly. We would definately stay here again. The King Suite had the best layout I have ever seen. I absolutely have no complaints about this hotel

we have stayed at this place for the last 5 years and will continue to come every year for our summer trip. the rooms are great . last year we booked a suite since there were six of us, the room was great ,& very cleas and lots of room for all of us. we are close to all the places to visit. i will be booking our suite real soon for aug 07 ... can hardley wait see you soon ...the lachance family from thunder bay ont...

Brought our daughter for a weekend get away prior to her leaving for college. It was a great experience and we LOVE Celebrations Dinner Theater. It was our 2nd visit and will continue to be an annual or more event. Bringing our daughter's boyfriend with this time.Can't wait!
