Eh.....ok, but not great
This hotel was clean, had a nice breakfast, small pool, and spacious rooms. However, we ran into numerous problems, including: rude reception employees, a non working refrigerator that they never attempted to fix, and a shuttle that is courteously provided but driven by men that were hard to understand, which was frustrating. Another problem that we also overheard other travellers remark upon was the promises that the reception makes over the phone are hardly ever followed through on. We were a group of six staying in 4 rooms. We called ahead and asked for early check in and rooms on the same floor. We arrived at one thirty and were told that early check in is not allowed and that they could not put us on the same floor, although we had had reservations for months. We also overheard from another couple that when they arrived late to the hotel after attending a Red Sox game (and trying to check in early, but were assured that when they returned they would have a room since they had made a reservation), their room had been given away. One person in our group had a leaking air conditioner, and the carpet in her room was soaking wet and it was never fixed - or even looked at. The night employees are much nicer than the day employees. The cafe that is provided conveniently provides food 24 hrs a day but it is pricey. Overall, we would not return to this hotel. It is so far away from the main sights in Boston that it requires at least an hour of travelling on the shuttle/train/bus to get anywhere. I would spend a few extra dollars to stay at a more expensive hotel that is closer.
