Eh.....ok, but not great
By Julie, 8/17/08
This hotel was clean, had a nice breakfast, small pool, and spacious rooms. However, we ran into numerous problems, including: rude reception employees, a non working refrigerator that they never attempted to fix, and a shuttle that is courteously provided but driven by men that were hard to understand, which was frustrating. Another problem that we also overheard other travellers remark upon was the promises that the reception makes over the phone are hardly ever followed through on. We were a group of six staying in 4 rooms. We called ahead and asked for early check in and rooms on the same floor. We arrived at one thirty and were told that early check in is not allowed and that they could not put us on the same floor, although we had had reservations for months. We also overheard from another couple that when they arrived late to the hotel after attending a Red Sox game (and trying to check in early, but were assured that when they returned they would have a room since they had made a reservation), their room had been given away. One person in our group had a leaking air conditioner, and the carpet in her room was soaking wet and it was never fixed - or even looked at. The night employees are much nicer than the day employees. The cafe that is provided conveniently provides food 24 hrs a day but it is pricey. Overall, we would not return to this hotel. It is so far away from the main sights in Boston that it requires at least an hour of travelling on the shuttle/train/bus to get anywhere. I would spend a few extra dollars to stay at a more expensive hotel that is closer.

Definitely will return
By caFromNJ, 12/13/07
We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel near Harvard. There was 5 of us. The room was very spacious. 2 double beds and one pull out sofa bed. Very reasonably priced (asked for the AAA rate). The beds were comfortable. The night and day staff was friendly and courteous. A very nice continental Breakfast was included and there is no charge for parking. It took us less than 10 minutes to get to Harvard. The high way is nearby. Closed to Tufts, Boston U, Harvard... Definitely will come back.

stay its great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/4/07
This was a great hotel. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was large, clean and would stay again. I'm very picky with my hotels. Loved this hotel. Would recommend thsi to anyone even the picky person. Great continental breafast. Great for the business person who doesn't want to stay in the city or pay the city prices. Approx. 10 MIN to Boston and just off the interstate. Can see hotel from interstate. indoor parking was great for the winter.

Non-standard added amenities available
By Kerry, 12/19/05
I was very impressed with this hotel. They have business PCs set up in the hall to check Internet email as well as small bookshelves with books to read in addition to the normal continental breakfast option and both indoor pool and spa found in other similiar locations. Was a very nice addition with the PCs and books - nice touch.

'Taste of Boston' trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/8/05
The rooms were your basic all purpose type, but the service and friendly reception made it an above average trip. We would certainly go back, if only for the breakfast buffet. There is nowhere in the UK where you can make your own waffles!

Nice Job
By patrick, 8/7/05
Amerisuites was a perfect fit for my family. There are 5 in our family and this was the only hotel that was able to easily accomodate us in one room. The only area I found to be deficient related to noisy plumbing. This was offset by the value this hotel offered. The location was further from Boston than I liked. The hotel meets this need by providing free transportation to and from the T. The service in my opinion was excellent and the breakfast buffet was too. I would gladly stay at this location, and will now first look for Ameri-suites at other locations, in the future.
