No Stars for the Spa
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/08
Although the hotel was conviently located, the spa was a major disappointment,as most hotel spas seem to be. Being a seasoned spa goer we appreciate more than the cup of tea. The therapist lacked enthusisam and interest. We were lucky to find a great privately owned spa near by that was wonderful!

Victoria's True Secret
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/05
We have stayed in Victoria a number of times. We look for comfort, location and value. We have finally found Victoria's "True Secret". The Magnolia Hotel has everything a visitor would want. Try a corner room with a view of the Parliment Building at night. Magnificent!. A wonderful continental breakfast begins your day. You are within walking distance of all shopping and tourist destinations. End the day in the spa to work out the kinks before going to one of a number of fine restaurants, all within blocks. Whether you are in Victoria to rest, to shop, to sightsee or on business, this is the place to stay.

Victoria's best secret
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/05
Being a many time visitor to Victoria, we have been constantly on the lookout for a hotel with room comfort, location and price. We found it with the Magnolia Hotel and Spa. Next door to the better known Empress Hotel, it is within walking distance of all major attractions and transportation stops. The rooms are spacious, newly refurbished and immaculate. Spend a little more and get a deluxe room with views of the inner harbor and parliment building. Included in the price is a continental breakfast and use of the spa facilities. We intend to use this hotel repeatedly on our annual trips.
