What a Wonderful Getaway!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/08
From start to finish our stay at the Snug Harbor was fantastic! For the value, its worth paying full fare. We enjoyed the fire place...and free DVDs. Not to mention the jacuzzi spa tub! Check out the theme rooms online before hand -- but they're all great. We weren't disappointed. We were so busy with things to do all day on the island we didn't get to the wine and cheese, but it didn't matter. We visited off season so perhaps missed some of the party weekend crowd. I'd recommend the Snug Harbor to anyone!

I'll never go back to Snug Harbor!
By A Yahoo! User, 10/15/07
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Snug Harbor Inn over Labor Day Weekend (09/2007) and will never stay here again! We stayed in the Santa Barbara Room, and unfortunately we were never told that it is directly across from the evil nightclub the Chi-Chi Club! That club blasted music all night, until 1am, then we had the pleasure of listening to all the loud drunks outside our window! Now I know why the hotel provides ear plugs! I complained to the front desk, which couldn't help, because they were booked. So, I ended up spending over $300.00/night, to get awful sleep & crappy service. Also, when we checked in, we had to lug our full ice chest and bags up 2 flights of stairs, with no help from the front desk! HORRIBLE!!! There were also annoying knats flying around in our room! Is that even sanitary? I was also not impressed with their "breakfast" service, which was a sad small bowl of dry cereal, a yogurt, and coffee & juice! Where's the beef? Or at least some eggs? Also, room gets super bright in the morning, so if you not an early riser don't stay here! So, if youre thinking about staying here in Catalina, do yourself a favor & don't do it! They are plenty of other hotels/inns to stay in that aren't across the street from a loud niteclub & horrible service! Two thumbs Down!

Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/06
If you are going to Catalina Island and are looking for a nice place to stay, Snug Harbor Inn should be at the top of your list. There is not one thing we can say was bad. Our room was superb and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. If you are planning a romantic getaway, this is the place. You can't beat a nice fireplace and jacuzzi tub for that.

Happy & unhappy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/06
We have stayed here 2 times now. I think it is a great place, but, I do think it is too expensive. One thing that we really were unhappy with was what goes on at night on the sidewalk in front of Snug Harbor. The 2 times we were there, there was a fight right outside our window. It really scared us & we even called the police. For that much $$ we shouldn't have to go through that kind of thing.

What a wonderful place!
By Cindy, 03/29/06
We were married on the island and from the day that we arrived, we received nothing but excellent service. The hotel staff was great and very informative about places to eat and things to do. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The wine and cheese social every evening is a little meal in itself. And the breakfast! They state that you will receive a continental breakfast in your room, but it is much more then that. They show up with a basket full. Linen table cloth and napkins, real silverware, plates and glasses. Granola, fresh fruit, juice, milk, flavored coffee with cream and a homemade loaf of break on a cute cutting board wrapped with rafia and a fresh orchid. Oh, did I mention the bread was warm. Hope I didn't ruin the surprise for you, but what a wonderful way to spend each morning. Looking out at the harbor and the hustle and bustle of this cute little island. I highly recommend staying at the Snug Harbor Inn. We will definitely return for our anniversary each year.

thank you
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/05
My stay at the Snug Harbor Inn was fantastic I want to go back there as soon as possible and I will definately stay there again. Being from Alaska leaving my state is difficult and expensive so we always want the best. We certainly recieved that with you. The staff was so helpful, we got there far to early to check in but they kept our bags and did the best they could to get our room ready asap. They brought us cheese and wine to our room since we were the only guests that night. And they delivered a wonderful breakfast in the morning. I loved the room and I especially loved the spa tubs right in the room, what a wonderful place!

This place was everything you could ask of a romantic little getaway...beautiful surroundings, classy employees, great wine and cheese reception every night. Rooms were exquisite. Stayed in the Anacapa suite. Wish I could go back there every year!

loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By veronicah, 08/08/05
we choose the snug harbor inn for our 25th wedding anniversary, and we could not have made a better choice. from the breakfast in bed picnic to the wine and cheese in the lounge in the evening. the staff was more than courteous and our room was so cozy and romantic. they even provided us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary, which was a wonderful personal touch for us. and in conclusion, we can truly say that we had the most wonderful anniversary that a couple could ask for, and we truly have the snug harbor inn to thank. we will be seeing you soon!!!!ron and vicki holbert

friendly staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/05
This was the best place I have stayed yet. The staff were informative and friendly. The room was as described the reservationist Denise. Especially liked the jacuzi tub and the breakfast brought to our room by Jackie. All our questions were answered and we were also able to borrow movie to watch in the room. We will stay here again.

A Little Bit of Paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/05
The room's are a little pricey but no more so than at other inns on Catalina, and Snug Harbor's worth every penny. We stayed in the San Nicolas room, but all 6 rooms at this tiny inn look great. Our room was comfortable and luxurious without being "fussy." The staff is fantastic! They're wonderful folks and host a great wine and cheese social for guests in the evening. And what could possibly be better than enjoying a scrumptious breakfast delivered to your room while you gaze out at Avalon's beautiful harbor with your sweetheart in your soft terry cloth robe and slippers? I couldn't think of anything else either.
