My first trip to new orleans

The hotels location is terrible, canal street is rife with crime, the ritz has seen better days, I was lucky I made it ouuta there alive, this was my first and last trip to New orleans

same time next year......................

My husband and I have been Married for 29 years. We have been almost every where traveling for birthdays and anniversary etc. and I decided to tour our own city where we live.It was his birthday. I booked the suite at the Ritz and it was the BOMB. I loved every thing about the room excellent the food excellent and the service was also very good. The main bathroom is a dream. We can not wait to book again. We are from New Orleans George&Pat Scott

Spectacular!

Our stay at the Ritz was unbelievable. The service was outstanding and the hotel was gorgeous. We are so excited that they are back open for business again. The next time We are in New Orleans, we will be making a stop there.

This is a great hotel with THE BEST service and a GREAT value, especialy for a 5-star hotel! I would any day recommend this to a friend.

Exquisite Spa and Restaurant

Loved the service (concierge level, nothing beats that at the Ritz) - and cannot wait until this hotel is ready to have tourists again. The spa is HEAVEN! The restaurant and lounge is also top notch. New Orleans has fabulous restaurants - to stay at the Ritz is a must. Location is in the Bourbon Street area (not my crowd) and valet parking will cause you to wait up to 20 minutes to retrieve your vehicle. That's just a small inconvenience for a little bit of luxury!

Be treated like royalty at the Ritz

This is a superb place to go in New Orleans. If you enjoy great jazz music you MUST go to the piano bar while there and see Jeremy Davenport who plays on the weekends. Pure jazz talent, great dessert, comfortable atmosphere, and if you can make a small space for yourselves - great place to dance with the one you love. A++

Not up to Ritz experience

We had two families with kids stay at the Ritz. The Hotel was nice, clean and with exceptional service with the concierge, check in and housekeeping. The biggest disappointment was that our door extra lock was broken (never fixed) and the tea service was HORRIBLE. It took them 45 minutes to bring us tea and 1 1/2 hours for any snacks. It was not even crowded. The area around the hotel is smelly and not good for kids. Indoor pool was dinky. Fitness area was okay. SDN

What A Treat!

Since we first stepped foor into the hotel, everyone was so nice. The room was wonderful and the service was even better! The location wasn't bad, only 2 blocks away from Canal St., and the view from our room was so-so.

Not what you expect from the Ritz

The worst Ritz- Carlton I have stayed at. The service was way below any Ritz- Carlton I have ever stayed in. The bed was sub-par and the room was average. The staff was very average, not what you expect from the Ritz. The location however was great.

Just a room...

We stayed at here during Mardi Gras. The hotel was conveniently located near all the activity - parades and parties - but was never noisy at night. The beds were incredibly comfortable but small. The view was worthless. The room was big but sparsely decorated, one desk shoved into a tight corner next to the window...and the room was dirty at check-in. There was trash leftover from the previous guests in the bins and under the beds. Housecleaning never came in the three days we were there - and we had to call for towels daily. Poor concierge service too. They billed me for parking even tho I didn't have a car (which they reversed later) The spa facilities were great but overall, there are much better hotels with competative pricing. Generally I like the Ritz-Carlton and I'm in New Orleans every year but I'll never stay at that Ritz again.
