Treated like Royalty

I always stay here when in NOLA. I am always upgraded and given Club access as well as a welcoming gift of Ritz Champaigne and truffles. Everyone knows me by name and goes out of their way to make my stay perfect everytime. I have read some of the negative reviews and have never had any problems that weren't immediately addressed. The newly furnished rooms and suites are wonderful.

horrible spa experience!!

My favorite hotel chain is the Ritz Carlton. I wanted a nice weekend in New Orleans, away from my busy medical practice in Miami. We registered at the hotel and we went to the Spa to check it out and to have a nice treatment. Unfortunately we had the worst experience with one of the employees, she was so rude, aggressive and had a tremendous degree of hostility, difficult to find in today’s costumer oriented hotel Business. She made us feel so unwelcome. Another employee was nicer and gave us a tour of the facilities but we just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, we did not schedule the appointment, went back to the room and made phone calls , check the net and were advised about spas in the area.

Great Low Key Hotel

I have stayed at this Ritz several times and I have never had a bad experience. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The spa is great. The location is perfect for work and play. Would certainly recommend to others. A little on the quite side if you are looking for something wild.

Trip to NOLA

We got there on Wednesday 12/30. We were so excited. We had 2 rooms. One of the rooms (my daughter's) had a full wet bar. We had an opening where the refrigerator was supposed to be. I called to request the refrigerator be delivered. It was finally delivered 3 phone calls later on Friday - EMPTY. The toilet in my daughter's room backed up every time it was used - regardless. The air conditioning wasn't working by Friday in either room. The room service sucked. The food was horrible and we never once received what we ordered. The only positive about the trip was seeing the Houston Rockets team in the hotel and getting a cut and color in the Salon. Beryl is awesome. Will we go back to NOLA. YES. Will we stay at the Ritz? No. The Marriot is nicer.

My Last visit to the Ritz

I attended a Insurance conference ( Marshberry) a woman was dragged across the floor to her room, looked like a attendee, I asked one of the attendees what was going on and he got reall nasty and told me to get lost, I notified security and never heard back if she was ok, I will never stay at the ritz again

room was not avalible at 5 pm. food service was slow.. hallways filled with dirty room service trays..have stayed there through the years only bright spot was the concierge and a couple of bellman who are always professional..

Second Honeymoon better than the first!

This was our best trip ever! Upon check in, our room was not quite ready (5:00PM). Front desk staff invited us to have dinner & drinks while we waited...on the house! No hassle at all. The room was magnificient, luxurious and well equipped. Room service was divine. We had New Orleans style boiled crawfish on the patio Saturday morning, a must! Spa service was worth every penny. The hotel is within walking distance of everything you should see and do while in New Orleans! Even took a street car to lunch at Commander's per the hotel's recommendation. Fantastic! We are already planning our return visit.

Bottom of the choices in New Orleans

I was given a handicapped room without being told it was one.It had a clost that would not allow for hanging my dresses.The cleanliness of the hotel room was poor and the room itself was in need of a number of repairs. After my stay, I completed the evaluation of the hotel and sent it to the corporate office.I never heard a word from them!

I expected more from a Ritz

If your going to NO to hit the French Quarter you've got a great location. Otherwise the service wasn't that great and overall I had expected something a bit more luxurious. The decor was defintely NO but it appeared kinda generic compared to another hotel I had stayed at down there. I've only been to one other Ritz before, and it hadn't met the same quality of that location so I found myself disappointed.
