Fairfield Inn Suites by Marriott Helena, Helena

We have stayed with mariott consistantly when we travel throughout the year. It was great to find a Fairfield as nice as this. The staff was friendly, and helpful, the hotel quiet and the amenities plentyful. Easy access to all the attractions in Helena and easy to hit the highway when you leave. We recommend this location to all our friends who travel down from Canada regularly.

Very unpleasant stay here! The pool was under construction? I never saw anyone working on it, and we were not informed of this---and brought an entire baseball team to stay here! The rooms were not "clean" by any standards. The air conditioner stopped working and was not handled until the following evening----room change--how fun is that? Missing remote for the TV, no washing cloths, no coffee,keys would stop working in our doors after we had been using them? The staff was abrupt and rude at times, and acted as if we were too demanding---just trying to get the things we paid for--like air conditioning and a remote. There are so many nice motels right next to this place--choose one of those--you'll be much happier!

Overall, not a very pleasant stay. The level of housekeeping was generally mediocre and inconsistent. The bathroom did not appear to be cleaned very often. The front desk provided replacement items such as soap, shampoo, cups, etc. when requested, and offered an apology for the inconveneince. My guess is that the housekeeping staff were either inexperienced and/or inadequately supervised. This was our first experience with a Fairfield Inn, and will probably be our last.
