I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone!
By matt, 8/17/09
My wife and I stayed at this hotel when we came down to Phoenix for the Toby Keith concert. The first concert we have been able to attend in 10 years and our first concert together as a married couple. The front desk staff was very nice but not very knowledgable. The rooms were poorly refurbished and poorly designed in a semi 70's fashion. The mini fridge did not work even after they replaced it with a "new" one. The window a/c unit could not cool the whole room. the bathroom towl rack was in the shower, wich made no sense along with the fact you had to stand between the shower and the toilet to be able to shut the bathroom door. Upon arrival the house keeping was done very half hazardly and the room was filled with the overpowering smell of strong cleaning chemicals. we left the do not disturb tag on the door and house keeping entered the room anyways. It was obvious that everything in the room had been touched. They threw away my wifes water bottle that was all the way to the back of the counter on the mini bar, a brand new bar of soap we brought from home (obviously not hotel soap) and the ticket stubs from the concert that we had left on the desk next to our camera and other such things. they room was once again poorly cleaned. when we spoke to the hotel manager chris about the incedent he acted as if it was no big deal and stated " it is our policy that if you leave out your shoes we will put them away, if you leave clothes on the bed and other places will will put them away and all trash will be removed from the room." I cant speak for every one else in the world but, i dont like the fact they dont respect privacy, touch all my stuff and throw away my things because they feel it is garbage. if it was garbage i would have thrown it away in the provided trash can myself. yea they are just ticket stubs but they are my ticket stubs and they cant be replaced. furthermore, breakfast was ended well ahead of schedual, and as for their suppossed great wine, its was horrible and not worth the asking price per glass or bottle. parking is inaddiquit for the cappacity of the hotel. If you have sensitive allergies i dont suggest this place due to the fact the whole way thru the hotel is very well perfumed. on the plus side, there is a T.G.I. Fridays right next door which has a great service staff and good food. metro center is very close by. but the hotel is right next to the I-17 freeway. very noisy. to say the least i am very displeased and would not stay there again nor recomend anyone else do either.

Excellent Experience
By Jay and Nae, 5/25/09
After a long trip from Flagstaff, we were treated to a fantastic experience. The staff was a plus. They were friendly and explained all the hotels features; eatery, gym, continental breakfast. They even helped us find things to do in Phoenix. The room was in outstanding condition. The carpet was so clean we walked barefoot without fear. The huge HDTV was a welcome addition along with the ability to easily plug in electronic devices via a side av/hdmi/component input panel. Despite the other review, the WIFI was more then adequate even thru an Ipod touch. Plenty of towels and the mini frig is always a welcome feature.

Newly Remodled by Someone Who Does Not Travel for Business
- Huge 24 inch LCD TV in room - Nice waiting room section with couch/sleeper - Noisy mini-refrigerator (random knocks) - TV not viewable from work area (luckily work desk on casters) - Breakfast service ended 5 minutes ahead of scheduled 10 AM - Wireless Internet unusable - Towel rack in shower???
