Extended Stay America Portland - Tigard, Tigard

I can't comment on the quality of this hotel as we never got to stay here because they did not keep rooms for us even though we had a reservation. Here are the details ... Our flight was coming in late (10:00 pm) so I called the Monday before we were arriving to confirm our reservation for 2 rooms and to let them know we will be arriving late at night. They said that would not be a problem, they would have the rooms ready for us. When we arrived at the hotel they said they only had one room left with one bed (we had 4 people). After searching for other options and not finding any other availability we finally agreed to take the one room. When we went into the room, there were already people sleeping in it! I'm sure that was fun for that family. The moral of the story is, not only did we not get the 2 rooms we had a reservation for, some other family was rudely awoken at 12:00 am by strangers breaking into their room with keys given to them by the hotel. This hotel clearly has an incompetent staff and they were totally non-apologetic about the situation. So if your idea of a good time is not getting a room when you had a reservation for 2 rooms or if you like a hotel that gives keys to your room to complete strangers, this is the hotel for you!

We have stayed at this establishment before and liked it. When we went to check in this time, the front desk person was a young male with an open collar, rolled up sleeves, very wrinkled white shirt. We declared our dog, as before, and were told they did not take dogs over 35 pounds. We demonstrated our dismay and informed him that we had just stayed here about a month ago, without any problems. He said sorry, he couldn't do anything, and we were turned away.

Recently learned my husband has been using this hotel to meet hookers.

First night was rough since I got a smoking room.They were very fast to give me a nonsmoking room the next day.The place was clean, felt comfortable, and had enough towels.

I did not like the lack of parking for the size of the place. The extended stay part and value are great, however having to park 200 yards from your room when there is a parking spot 10' from your door is unsafe. Being an out of towner, arriving at 2 in the morning, just did not feel as safe as I would have preferred. Other than that, was a great place to sleep. quiet and out of the way enough to be restfull. However, again it is out of the way by quite a drive from PDX.

The hotel was comfortable, quiet, and offered a reasonable price. It was clean and convenient. I would stay here again without hesitation. Great value for the money!
