I stayed at this hotel for two nights in May, 2008 and found the stay to be one to remember as a superb experience. I was traveling with my elderly parents who were celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary by returning to Huntsville where they lived in the 1960's. The hotel staff was very attentive to their needs and very knowledgeable about driving directions to all the Huntsville sites that we wanted to visit.
The rooms are comfortable and the breakfasts are quite more than just "continental" -- even hot scrambled eggs one morning! Although all handicapped rooms were full, my parents felt that the regular room fully met their needs --- Dad absolutely loved the mattress and wants one of his own. The on-going construction of another wing did not interfere with us -- soon this hotel will be twice as large which means more people can enjoy the great location, comfortable stay, and attentive staff.
Nice Place to Stay (but beware of rude desk clerk!)

This hotel is fairly standard in decor, room size, amenities, etc. The breakfast bar is nice with some hot dishes, such as sausage, gravy, sometimes french toast and eggs. We have stayed here several times when visiting family in the Madison/Huntsville area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I did have one bad experience last time I stayed. The desk clerk misunderstood when I tried to get credit for my stay on my Hilton Honors program. She thought I was trying to use a free night and when I tried to explain she became rather rude. She absolutely snarled at me as I left and didn't thank us or anything even though we stay there almost monthly. Perhaps she was having a bad day but the experience made me consider finding another place next trip.
All in all a slightly better than average hotel.
