Westgate Palace - A Two Bedroom Condo Resort, Orlando

My family of 4 stayed 8 days in a 2 bedroom condo at Westgate Palace Resort. The resort's location is perfect. It nears International Drive. It takes us only 3 minutes to get to Universal Studios, 5 minutes to the Outlet Shopping Center, 2 minutes to Wet n Wide and 15 minutes to Disney World. It is at the corner of Carrier and Universal so it is pretty quiet. The resort is clean and organize. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool is wam and clean. The condo has a kitchen and refri which is very convenient because we have young children. They also had people cleaned up our condo everyday. Everything is so convenient. We can just walk down the street to many buffets and restaurants, such as Chili's, TGI Friday, China Jade Buffet and so on... We definetily will come back again.....

The room was nice but things was missing from the room no bath shower head. This is not a place for sleep. Night Club across the street from the Hotel. Party in the parking lot, loud music, security sucks. Room service was not good.

my fiance and i woke up with bed bugs in our bed and then were moved to a room with an inoperative ac unit. horrible experience. manager and staff treated us like we did something wrong. we would not reccomend westgate palace to anyone.

I came to this hotel thinking the best, I seen the pictures online and liked what I saw do to he fact that it had two separate rooms because i have two kids.It was a total of four in my party and I expected it to go well but I get there and the looks from the outside were kind of scary but am not not a picky person so I go anyways and I check in that went well but I didn't expect to leave a $200 dollar deposit.So I get in my room and it looks nothing like the pictures it was very small the beds were like sleeping on the floors, then I go in the bathroom and it had hair in there and I don't mean the hair that goes on your head, then my sons sheets were dirty, then I couldn't sleep do to the fact that I can hear everyone's conversation, then to make it worst they put us in the last room by the stairs and every night you can hear people laughing and running up and down the stairs. Over all my stay here was horrible and I would not recommend this place to no one.

We really enjoyed the room, the hotel was great overall, the price was great. However, my truck was broken into in there parking lot, and the hotel has done nothing to make it right. The damages were $213.00, and the IPOD stolen was $250.00. All I have gotten is the run around from risk management and a feeling like they do not care. I have had to spend yet more time and money to prove ownership and get estimates. The parking lot is well lit, and the hotel has 24 hour security, but it does not seem as if they do any thing but sit at a desk. Very disappointed in the way this was handled.

I needed to get a room close to Orlando and picked this one at random. I didn't expect the best since it was in the heart of tourist town. Wow, was I pleasantly suprised as it was very clean and beautiful. I would love to stay there again if in the area and will tell friends and family.....JB

My family and I went down there in July of 2007 and we had a great time. I loved taking the elevator up and seeing the Wet N Wild water park right across this huge beautiful lake. You could see fish in there along with cranes. You could also rent a paddle boat. The pool was right by it. It was just beautiful. The room itself was amazing. I loved the big comfortable beds. They had these huge comforters that made you want to stay in bed all day. If it wasn't for my friend and I, our husbands would never have gotten up. I had the room with the jacuzzi and they had the room with the sauna. They had a full kitchen with everything you could need in terms of dinnerware and silverware. THey had a dishwasher with the dishwashing detergent packs and a sink with dish soap. They had a washer and dryer and a ton of towels. It was just a great experience.

Everyone said that this was a bad hotel, but I disagree, this hotel is FABULOUS!!!Everything about it was fantastic. The color of the hotel is a great color to attract girls who like pink. Most of the time people would look at the photos of the hotel before they stayed in it, but a little girl saw this hotel they would really like to stay there. They would beg and beg until the parent finally gave in to letting them stay there. The hotel is positively a great place!!!!!

I stayed in other timeshare resorts, not Westgate, and I see why. The Palace was not up to par. When we arrived, the front desk staff sent me to the rewards counter, and I had to go back to the front desk to finally check in. Then I stood there for about 3 minutes listening to the staff having a conversation about nothing much. Then one noticed me and told the other guy to assist me, and that guy to told another guy to help me. I finally got checked in. I asked if someone could help us with our bags(4 people traveling), the said no, but there should be some luggage racks somewhere. Luckily we found one that someone was just finishing with. Then we get to the room. All I can say is small and akward. My parents stayed in the Master and the sinks were in the room as well as the Bathtub. The shower was cased in by glass, but no privacy. There was no welcome package with coffee, sugar, etc, nor any trial size detergent. Remember, I am not an owner. When I called down to get some salt and pepper, they told us they didn't have any.(we were making Thanksgiving dinner) I could go on, but it would too much time. I will never go back.

Overall, I like the Westgate Palace. My husband and I, our three children, at the time, and my mother-in-law, thought it was great. It is a good place to get away with the family. We had a 2-bedroom suite on the 14th floor. I loved the view. Their were a stove, refrigerator, utensils, and it was like at home. We really enjoyed, especially the kids. They loved the pool area, eventhough there were started construction at the time we went. WE LOVED IT. Would go back again.
