Hyatt Place Las Colinas Walnut, Irving

This is a great place to stay and we will stay here again. The staff was great and very helpful. The room was very nice and the whole surrounding area was very nice and upscale. We got more than what we paid for.

The service and staff were excellent!! My son and I stayed at the hotel and I chose it because they offered pizza (his favorite food). He was able to get his pizza and he said it was delicious. He was absolutely thrilled. He said he wanted to stay there again the next time we visited the area. I agree! We had the best experience we could have had. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others. It was convenient to several of the points of interest that we wanted to visit yet out of the way enough to not have to worry about a high traffic area. It was also quite convenient to DFW. The value we received was definitely worth the time and money spent for the weekend. The continental breakfast was great as were the other food options available in the hotel. As for the places we visited, we never had to travel more than 20 -25 minutes to any location. And that was the maximum. We were in town for a friend's wedding and after the sight-seeing, we were running late. Thank goodness the hotel for the wedding was only 12 minutes away in Dallas! The decor was warm, friendly and inviting, the staff was friendly and always greeted us with smiles. I just cannot say enough about this hotel. Thank you for such a great experience.

I picked this hotel because of the outdoor heated pool, only to arrive and find it closed indefinitely, looking like it needed a serious cleaning. The hot water went out sporadically. The first time I called the desk I was told someone next to us was probably taking a shower and to wait a few minutes. Sure enough, fifteeen minutes later we had hot water again. So evidently in this place only one person can take a shower at a time. A couple of nights later the hot water went out again and didn't come back. We were offered another room, only it had no hot water, either. So we checked out and went to the Fairfield Inn across the street. The staff was very nice and did not charge us for the night we checked out, but they said there was nothing they could do to get the hot water fixed since it was a weekend. Also, they have no business center with a computer for checking e-mail. The furnishings were nice and I think this could be a good place to stay if they could get all their facilities up and running. Might want to call and check first to make sure everything is working right.

Excellent, clean rooms, great service. My only complaint would be a lack of a restaurant and bar. Have stayed there several times due to work, and have enjoyed my stay everytime, despite the lack of the things I mentioned aboved.
