Locanda Le Boscarecce, Castelfiorentino

Le Boscarecce is located 25 miles south of Florence off the Siena road. The Inn is located on a ridge with farms and fields overlooking a deep valley below; Val d???Elsa. The terrace of the Inn boasts a sweeping view of hills covered with cypress and olive trees in the foreground and the mountains Appenini on the distant horizon. Within a half hour???s drive of the Inn are San Gimignano, Volterra, Vinci, and the Chianti Country; within one hour???s drive Firenze, Pisa, and Siena. Guests without a car can travel easily by the train located 3 km away in Castelfiorentino, a small attractive village. The Inn consists of 14 rooms named for famous literary or historical female figures. The rooms are furnished with 18th and 19th century antiques. All of them have telephone; color TV, bathroom with bathtub and shower and hairdryer. The second building house houses a kitchen dining room and a lounge. Weather permitting, breakfast, and dinner are served on the canopied terrace. The terrace is designed for repose and enjoyment of the surrounding landscape. The sun setting over the Appenini is something to put in your memory book. For our guest???s pleasure is a large swimming pool, tennis court, hiking paths through the woods and olive groves. For the more sedentary is a small library of history and art history books and a gazebo in which to read.
