Garden Inn & Suites, Fresno

My daughter and I stayed here on a brief visit to Fresno and were pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. The lady at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly, the grounds are laid out very nicely with meandering paths and beautiful citrus trees and roses, and the room price was more than reasonable. The room was very nice, quiet, and had a lovely walled patio in front, although we didn't use it as it was 108 that day! I would definitely come back and will recommend it to others who may be in the area.

Service was very reasonable but you will have difficulty communicating with the gentleman (owner?) at the front desk. Comes across as rude. They charge your card in advanced for one night makes you feel uncomfortable with the area. Rooms have kitchens but will not allow you to use them for some reason. Very odd. The big issue was the price they charged was not even close to what it was when we had made our reservations. They will continue to act as if they have no idea what you're talking about and even tell you they they didn't take the reservation. Very frustrating. Clean but just check your rates. Courtyard Marriott will offer you high end service for less price just a few miles away.

I had booked 2 nights at the Extended Stay down the street to save a few bucks - not worth it!! Scary for a single lady business traveler! Canceled that room and luckily I found the Garden Inn and had a wonderful, large, clean room with quiet atmosphere. Great people and suberp service. Right off the highway yet away from the noise and Fresno riffraff.
