TownePlace Suites St. Louis Fenton, Fenton

The hotel is old and needs refurbishing BADLY. The room wasn't clean (food still in freezer, dirty bathroom, greasy fingerprints on stove) and the furniture was old and ragged. The smell of carpet "deodorizer" was overpowering, had to open the windows to get rid of the stink. The bed was atrocious. The mattress was so soft that I've awoken with a backache everyday. The cleaning staff did nothing but take out the trash and change out the towels. One of the front desk staff chatted away endlessly with me waiting for her to retrieve my mail, then apologized to her friend for interrupting the call to help a customer. This is a 4 star priced hotel with 2 star amenities and a bad attitude. I chose it because it had a kitchenette (staying one month) and allowed pets; I should have looked further.
