Best place to stay when going to the Yellowstone
I have the Old Faithful Inn room with the private outdoor courtyard. I loved my room and the breakfasts. I walked downtown to watch the wonderful fourth of July parades on the 3rd and the 4th. I attended the Professional rodeo on the the last day of the four day event and watched the fireworks that night. It was great. The Yellowstone Park was fun and full of animals. Because it was the busiest time of the year I expected to see hoards of people, but we did not. There is so much area, over two million acres, it is easy to drive around and not see many people, we DID see a lot of buffalo though. There are buffalo jams where the buffalo crowd onto the road and you just have to stop and park awhile and then there are bear jams where everyone is stopped and crowded around looking at a bear or two, OK then you see people. The best part was being at the Robin's Nest where the breakfasts are great, and you have a dozen other restaurants to choose from for dinner. You can walk to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, the gun fight every night, the trolley tour, the river rafting, so many shops that I did not get to them all. Wow, I am coming back again soon. I had a blast.
