WORSE EMBASSY SUITES EVER - COLD FOOD, POOR SERVICE, RUDE WORKERS FOUND OUT IT WAS PRIVATELY OWNED - OWNERS PAY TO USE NAME
This is absolutely the worse Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in. And I have stayed in them from coast to coast.
Not worth the money at all.
Rude management. Rates quoted over phone 2 hours earlier were a hundred dollars cheaper then when I showed up and I had called the hotel directly. Not the 800 number. I called Embassy Suites corporate and they forced this management to give me the quoted price since I had the date, time and name of employee. I refused to give the local management the employees name because I knew this rude guy would fire them. Found out later, while stuck in an elevator with 3 other different people that all of us were paying different rates for same room. I was given the lowest rate, which made me happy. But of course I had to argue for an hour to get what I was promised.
Room was fine and we got our pick of location. Happy hour was a joke. Limited to one drink every half hour and we got colas. 8 oz of ice and 4 oz of cola.
Only one of three elevators working entire time we were there and we got stuck in the one working for over 30 minutes. Management could care less when everyone was complaining.
Staff could care less if they waited on you or not. Desk people stayed on personal cell phone calls while you stood there and waited. After a couple of minutes I told them to get off the phone and take care of me, a guest. Shuttle bus driver begged for tips, which is unheard of for Embassy Suite employees.
Breakfast was nothing like the real Embassy Suites offer. Waffle irons were not working and cooks said they did not feel like fixing omelets - like they are suppose to do for guests. Fruit was burised and rotting. My family said all the hot foods on the buffet were all cold, including the scrambled eggs and gravy. And we were there right after they opened for the day. We all think food was left over from day before and they didn't heat it up enough. I only ate a bagel with cream cheese and had coffee.
They charged for WIFI in the room. Only two computers in work area so none were ever available. I had my laptop so I could sit by the front door if I wanted to. I didn't because of the noise with people coming in and out.
They do not tell you that the bottled water in the room is $5.00 a bottle if you drink it and charged to your room. We brought our own so we didn't use theirs; but it still should have been posted since it was just sitting there for use.
Did not meet one person there who was happy with the service. Total strangers were discussing it in elevators, in the halls, and at breakfast the next day.
Staff said they were treated horrible by owners and management so they just did not care.
I could not believe this management and staff.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
WE HAVE STAYED AT THE WINGATE, ACROSS THE STREET EVERY TIME SINCE THEN AND WE ARE EXTREMELY SATISFIED. READ MY REVIEW ON THAT.
Thank you for the opportunity to give my opinion.
