Homestead SLC-Mid Valley, Salt Lake City

For $39.99 a night for the weekly rate, it cannot be beat. The room itself (standard queen) was nothing fancy, but it was more than adaquete. The kitchen was nice, but there were very few utensils, even fewer pots and pans, no cleaning supplies at all. Dishes had a few spots on them. Bedding was fairly clean, but the mattress cover looked to have a stain of two. Bed was pretty comfortable. Internet access ($5 per stay) was pretty decent, but not stellar. Room was fairly quiet, (upper floor in the back) location was good with restaruants and walmart/gas/grocery store within a couple blocks. Only a few miles to the cottonwoods for skiing. Jacauzzi was pretty nice, but the cover cranker was broke, and the jacuzzi looked like it could have used a cleaning, but not enough to keep me out. Overall, I was very pleased with the stay.. especially for the great price. My biggest complaint was the front desk staff.. nice girls, but they were about as clueless as they come. They knew nothing about their job, the area, etc.. probably have alot of turnover.. just check your bill and double check everything. I got a refund for leaving early, but its not on my statement yet, so who knows if thats going to be an issue. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.. just be prepared for these few things and you will likley have a great stay.

The front desk employee was rude and unprofessional. Our room was not cleaned. This hotel has the potential to be a decent place to stay but after my experience, I would not recommend it.
