No Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/08
The front desk agents were horrible. Lied about the view(strip view is limited but better than looking at a construction site), couldn't find a floor above 10 in a 17 floor hotel, and attitude for the inconvenience was very unsympathetic. Lobby has a faint odor of sewage. Fitness room is good though small. Pool is worse than a MOtel 6, very small and bland. Location isn't bad but is in old Vegas strip, so less of the night life than you might expect. Wouldn't go back again.

awful experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/07
I am a marriott platinum member and am supposed to receive superior service. When I arrived at the hotel it was after 10:30 PM. My room was 88 degrees. I called downstairs and was told there was an infared device in the room and the AC would not would work unless someone was in the room. so you can't even turn the AC on and go downstairs until the room gets cool. One has to sit there and sweat until the room gets cool. It was after 1 AM before I could go to sleep. I had to be up at 6 AM for a meeting. It was awful. The manager did not even respond to my complaint to Marriott Customer service or my comment card. Do not stay here if you want comfortable accomadations.

Not a Las Vegas Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/06
The Marriott Suites, though a nice hotel, will not give you the Vegas Experience. If you have never been to Vegas, places that advertise to be "just off the strip", are way off the strip. If you stay here, you won't be able to walk to the strip, and even if you did venture this, you will end up at an area of the strip where "less than desirables" are, not at the location of a posh casino. The Convention Center is about a five minute walk, where you have to cross an 8-lane highway, but you won't get a hotel that's closer to it. The monorail entrance is in the Convention Center parking lot, and this is probably your best bet if you don't want to pay the cab fares, but if you are in Las Vegas alone, the walk to the monorail at night is not your safest option, since the only way to get there is to cross an un-lit Convention Center parking lot, which is huge. The Marriott is located past the Wynn, towards Circus Circus. If you are going to Vegas for business, and have no interest in anything on the strip, this is a nice place to stay. Although my "suite" was actually one room without the double doors they advertise, the hotel was still nice and the staff was friendly and willing to assist. The pool is very small, smaller than most have in their backyard, and you won't be impressed at all by the set-up and pool area. If you want to stay in your room, watch TV, and work on the computer, this is the place to stay. If not, head to a hotel on the strip. Even if going for business, it's easier to stay at a stip hotel, and catch the monorail to the Convention Center.

avoid marriott
I got three qoutes from three seperate marriott hotels, i called back the hotel with the best rate and they told me that rate was no longer available? this was very odd to me but i went ahead and called the second hotel, they also told me that the rate they qouted me was no longer available. This was absolutely rediculous, the people at the reservation desk flat out lied to us, and then changed the rates, i would never call this hotel chain again, there are many other hotels to chose from, try them first

Awsome Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/26/06
This is my second time staying at this Hotel. I celebrated my 30th Birthday. I had about 25 people in my party and they were so pleased with the Hotel. I can't express the cleanliness of the rooms, and professionalism of the staff. I enjoyed walking to the strip which only took about 3 minutes. This hotel is very friendly. I enjoyed visiting the other Large Casino Hotels, but I feel that they are not committed to Customer Satisfaction. Please go visit this hotel and enjoy Las Vegas... You won't be disappointed. I promise PS. Ask for the Hospitality Suite.

Heaven on Earth
By Kevin, 01/31/06
After a very disapointing stay at the Golden Nugget on Fremont St. We quickly found a Marriott, and life was good again. The hotel was very clean and the beds are to die for. Marriott has set the standard for great hotel rooms and top knotch service.
