Lock up your valuables

Left an electronics item on the dresser and called the front desk within five minutes of check-out. Rather than sending someone to check right away, the front desk said they'd have housekeeping "keep an eye out." Oddly, housekeeping "never saw it" and the front desk couldn't have cared less. A shocking lack of interest in guest satisfaction once your credit card has gone through, and a sad commentary on what I had once considered to be a great hotel brand.
