Excellent Hotel

Excellent Hotel with a very professional staff. Definitely, I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family as well as the readers. This was my 2nd time here and their service had improved a lot compare to my 1st visit. It is money value.

Excellent hotel in Penang

Good location, friendly staff, very clean room and good breakfast. Hotel provide free internet service and new BIG LCD TV in room, what do you expect more?

Get up early and walk on Gurney drive

Great location and good value. Get up at around 5 and join the many other people walking along Gurney drive for their morning exercise. On the way back stop in one of the 24 hour food courts for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Best hotel Ive been to

I go here every year and it always gets better. It is safe and the staff are friendly and helpful. All around great. I will always go back as I my mother is from Malaysia and so far this has been the best hotel yet in Penang.

Decent Value but not as good as it used to be

This was the 3rd time I stayed there. The alternatives were Traders or shangri La in Batu Ferangi. Former is in a bit of a crowded area and latter is way off Location is good as one can take a decent stroll or hang out in starbucks around the corner. Guerny Plaza is a 20 min walk as also a lot of eating places. Hotel is comfortable but the gym equipment is a bit creaky. Steambatth was not that powerful. Rooms okay but TV channels are limited and the broadband is slow. Also found thagt I could not access my company vpn due to the firewalls in place. If you come with family, it is a safe place. My daughter enjoyed the spa. Bar was dead. Not sure if it was because of the ramadan. Can't complain too much as price is very reasonable

Evergreen - A Great Place to Stay

I like to location of Evergreen, just along Gurney Drive. The room was clean and nice, good facilities and the breakfast buffet was very good.. But the western food ala carte could be improved a little - more variety would be even better. Definitely would recommend others to stay.

Unhelpfull staffs

1) went to business centre but no one is around to provide assistance 2) asking a personnel in t-shirt at business centre seating around for Star newspaper and was told to go get it yourself at the concierge. 3) went to coffeehouse for some refreshment with complimentary coupon and informed that only coke,sprite, coffee or tea is allowed and no attempt to provide menus or suggestion for other alternatives.. 4) One En. Malik, try to challenge me to make a complaint after I approached him discreetly that he should not have been impolite when asking me to move my car from the parking for suite guest as it was raining heavily then. I then told him not to be defensive as I only wants to point out the proper way of addressing customer but he rudely gesture me to make a complaint if I'm not happy with his reply.

We are going back March 2007

I have been in a lot of Hotels and this is a five star hotel. Right in the middle of the shopping district and right on the bay. The rooms are very nice and clean. The service and the people at the hotel very happy to see you. Plus the food at the resturant is very good. I have been there (4) times and can't wait to get back. Oh did I mention there is a Starbucks right around the corner.

Evergreen is OK Lah

Good location close to Gurney Drive, restaurants, shops, and malls. Very attentive staff. The room has broadband internet. Good Breakfast buffet. Good value for money 150 RM per night. Rooms could have been cleaner, bigger, with carpet padding, etc. Overall quite acceptable.

Excellent Hotel

This is the second time I stayed in this hotel. The reason I liked this hotel is because of its location. Facilities and service are also first rate. I got an excellent rate for the room. Five star hotel for the price of a three star hotel.
