Courtyard Memphis Germantown, Germantown

We loved the whole experience! Everything was clean and pleasant. The bed was the best one we've ever slept on in a hotel--so comfortable. We also enjoyed using the indoor pool and the workout room. The amenities (free coffee and newspaper, 24-hour market) were great. All the employees were very cordial, and they helped our stay there to be wonderful. The breakfast buffet, although there was an extra charge, was bountiful and delicious. We'd stay there again anytime we return to Memphis!

The Courtyard is a nice hotel in a nice area. It was clean, except for the pair of panties our friends found beside their bed. The staff was less than helpful. I was locked in the bathroom (I hadn't even locked the door) for more than 40 minutes. My dad got a woman from the front desk to help, and she tried herself, but was unable to open the door. She never offered to call a locksmith, she said she could call the fire dept., but "They would break my door." This was not a concern to me as I had already been in the bathroom for 30 minutes at that point. When another family member (who works as a maintenance man) offered to go get some of his tools from his car she said she couldn't let him work on the door because he could get hurt. He did get his tools and he did get me out, and all she said was "You broke my door!" She offered to move us to another room, but we felt safer in the room without a bathroom door handle! I thought they may give us a discount on the room, but they just checked us out (at full price) and slid the receipt under the door before any of us could get up and check out ourselves. I guess we should just be glad they didn't try to charge us for the door handle!

Our room was not cleaned there was stains on the sheets from the last guest. The staff was not friendly, in fact the housekeeper I spoke with was very rude!!!! Breakfast was over priced when other hotels serve the same thing and call it continental. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone!

we had reserved 2 rooms with you. we checked in to our rooms and went to a meeting. during our meeting we got a call and had to return to mississippi. when we explained the situation to the ladies at the desk, she told us since we did not use the rooms that there would be no charge. we would like to thank them very much for being so kind and understanding to us. you have wonderful employees. if by chance we are ever in germantown our near, we will definately be staying with you. again thank you. joyce clark
