Nice hotel but poor location.

I never understood the old real estate cliche about "Location, location, location" until I stayed at this otherwise fine establishment. This very pleasant hotel is near nothing. I wanted to see Chicago without the high hotel prices, but it took forty minutes to get to town. No restaurants nearby. If you don't mind being completely dependent on a car, and if you don't mind spending most of your vaction time behind the wheel--or if you're just passing through and don't plan to do anything in the area--it would be fine. Otherwise, the location makes it a poor choice.
