very bad experience

arrived at motel about 1200 am, had previously made reservation and paid for room in cash, when I opened the door to go into the room the tv was on and one bed in 2 queen bed room was unmade, a door card was laying on the floor. I told my husband to hurry and shut the door, I was afraid they had double booked the room or else the room had not been cleaned from previously. I went to the front desk and told the desk clerk what we had incountered, the man said he had never ran into this trouble before and that he would call the manager. My husband waited in the lobby and I went to the lobby restroom only to find that there was no paper towels available after washing my hands. Went back out to the lobby and the desk clerk to use the we should go next door and find the manager and tell him what our problem was. I was immediately outraged and told the desk clerk that he needed to find the manager. The desk clerk got on the phone again and talked with the manager asking us during the conversation things like had we stayed the previous night, did we want him to clean the room, was there only one bed dirty in the room. After the phone call was ended he told us he guessed he could clean the room. My husband asked him how long it would take and he stated that he didn't know he had never cleaned a room before, then he commented that "how long could it take to clean a toilet". At this point we got a refund on the room and found accomdations down the road another 100 miles at a wonderful motel, however this horrible experience with days inn will never be forgotten and we will never stay at another days inn.
