Great time

Mark and Sonja are the greatest people and make you feel so welcome. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. It was indeed my home for 7 months. I was a travel nurse that lived there and so enjoyed talking about the world events with the both of them. I only hope to get back there soon to visit them. They will always hold a special place in my heart. The room was clean and neat. If you needed something they went out of their way to get what you need. Miss you both and hope to see you soon! I'm only sorry I couldn't have stayed longer to visit more with Mark... I suspect he is the owner. What a great guy who runs a great motel. He's friendly and he certainly knows Montana. When you go, take him out for dinner!

The Best of Shelby, MT

The small community of Shelby is only 32 miles from the Canadian border. The proprietors, a husband and wife team, are really great people....they even picked us up at the train station, took us a tour of the town and our rental car was waiting for us at the motel! This little motel is a wonderful slice of Americana, reminiscent of bygone days. The rooms are clean...the town is quiet...the people are friendly. Why would anyone want to spend the night at an impersonal hotel chain, when the Sherlock Motel offers such a wonderful hometown experience?
