Unforgettable stay.

Pros: An oasis in a remote desert. The room was probably about 10 years old on the second floor with a fridge. Very spacious with two full size beds and a deck. The ceiling was high which had a dramatic airy feel to it. Although its far from Bryce, Arches, etc, it's a fantastic quiet getaway. The restaurant on the premise, Hell's Backbone, was pricy but great. Not the chain type. No frozen dishes that were microwaved. Cons: There were flies in the room but we got use to them.

Hidden gem

Boulder Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to settle for a couple of days and view the surrounding area. Easy to find, friendly staff, good price and great food. Located on scenic Highway 12 you always have a beautiful trip to your destination.

Ultimate Getaway Experience

This 2-story lodge with its relaxing lounges, balcony view (of Boulder Mt and the panorama), and rooms, is worthy of visiting over and over again. The bed was unbelievable--best in any place we have stayed. The suite room 14A had a table and 3 chairs, color TV, A/C, and was immaculate. Stay one day to just read, relax, and maybe take the gorgeous Burr Trail Gorge drive. Skip Hell's Backbone 40+ mi. one-way dirt road. It's a waste. Rt 12-s is called the Hogback and is spectacular.
