Perfect choice for business traveler

This hotel fit my per diem, its very next to highway, easy to get to in/out springfield with free parking.. They have free highspeed internet which helped me finish my after hours workload. Didnt have enough time to use their pool or hot tub but saw couple of families enjoying.....their breakfast had very best choices out of all other mid scale hotels i have stayed at. Overall i had a good stay where i woke up fresh to start my next day.....

clean hotel, efficient staff

its a very basic and clean hotel. Our Kids enjoyed their Pool/Hot Tub. Water Temp. was perfect, Did not get time to use their fitness room but it looked inviting, Morning breakfast was as well as expected, Free internet was at alright speed. It is very next to the highway but there was no noise from the Highway Vehicles. Overall I won`t mind considering this place a 3 star place.

Clean & Convenient

During my 3 day visit to UIS for a training schedule, I found the place very clean, Staff well dressed and organized and Very conveniently located off the I-55 & 72. All other exits, Restaurants & Mall are about 5 miles away at the most.

Stayed here for 3 nights on my business trip. Its a good place to stay, the value itself is very inviting for a business trip with a mid range budget. I did not have to pay for parking, Internet, Phone calls, Hot breakfast Buffet, News paper, using copy machine or fax machine and the rooms are indeed nice looking rooms. I will surely choose this place if I have to stay in springfield as long as I can get a room here under my per diem which is $75/night.

What a Value.

We chose this place after comparing all other hotels in area and I must tell that we were not dissappointed at all. Location is very very easy from I 55. it has all kinds of restaurents around the hotel. Cracker Barrel next door is a big plus. Hot Breakfast in the mornign was better then we expected for the price we paid. Front desk gave us the most information on anything we asked. We also had 2 families traveling with us and they also felt the same way. Thank you

Poor value

If you pay more, you should get more. This Baymont does not understand this principle. This is not a luxury priced hotel, but the service and amenities were clearly inferior for the price ($460 for a 'suite' for 4 nights. Everything seems to be done there on a shoestring budget. Housekeeping kept the room clean but not set up well. I had to go to the front desk at various times to get a 'Do Not Disturb' card, 2 trips to get coffee refills when housekeeping failed to replace them and toilet paper! The internet was down on 2 different occasions and there were no major networks working on the TV lineup due to some mysterious issue. We couldn't take a bath until they sent up a plumber to repair the tub stopper. There was nearly-rotten fruit on the breakfast bar. The final straw was the addition of extra service charges for things that were advertised as features of the hotel, such as Wi-fi. They were not included in the price I was quoted on the internet. I've never encountered this with ANY other hotel. These amounted to around $8. I chose this place based on the online reviews it got, but I will never go to a Baymont again.

Hidden rates that are not disclosed on their wen site and if you object to the additional fees, they are rude and very unprofessional.

Front desk help was wonderful but the breakfast was marginal. So many kids staying at the Baymont for a basketball tournament we had to eat in the lobby. Good value.

everything here is perfect that a person or a family will need , very nice breakfast , heated pool, work out place and a wi-fi for free, a big plus ---very close to many many restaurents ........ will stay here for sure

Front desk-great! Cleanliness-poor

Tina at front desk was very helpful with directions. I have a wash towel hanging over the shower rod from the previous guest for 2 days! Housekeeping never saw it!! Room was not vacummed.Bowl of fresh fruits in the lobby was not so fresh-rotten apples! Would I come back-NEVER!
