Monterey Bay Suites, Myrtle Beach

We've stayed here before and the place is generally nice. The bedrooms are perfect for a good nights sleep. The parking lot can be tight when schools are out (more than 3 days) The pool waters are clean and warm during the winter months. Only real problem I had was finding someone elses sock in the bed, upon waking the next morning. Overall the place is nicer than most!

Me,my 3 year old and husband stayed here for the weekend.Loved our room loved our oceanfront view,breakfast was good.Only complaints are the elevators,had to wait at least 10 minutes to even get on an elevator to get down to the pools and the beach.We had to move around all the furniture to pull down the pull out bed which could have been cleaned a little better, when we moved the table in front of the couch there was old peanuts i guess from people that stayed in our room last, one rude employee,other than that we loved it and are definitely staying here again for sure!! would reccomend it to anyone! : ) from tennessee june 2010

My family and I were there this past weekend. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. At first, I had doubts about this hotel because of the blogs that I read prior to making the reservation. It turned out to be a nice pleasant stay. At this time, I do not have any complaints about Monterey Bay Suites. The breakfast was good. The staff were extremly friendly and plesant. I highly recommend this place for a nice get away! My husband and I plan to spend our 14th anniversary here (Nov/2009).

Just got back with my wife and two teenage boys. Everyone enjoyed it. The staff was courteous and the service was very good. Great rooms for a reasonable price.

The pictures shown are not for this hotel. This hotel has full kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Hotel is clean and offers full breakfast (free) every morning. Check out website...montereybaysuites.com. Also has indoor/outdoor pool and roof top pool. Very reasonably priced. Returning for second trip this spring.

After all the bad reviews that I read, I was expecting the worst. But my husband and I actually enjoyed our stay here. The people at the front desk were super nice and the suite was very clean and comfortable. The parking garage was a little cramped, but we worked it out. The breakfast was average and you could only make one trip, but hey it was free! Overall, it was worth the money. We would stay here again.

i enjoyed the stay the angled view rooms balcony was a little scary because its half parking lot half beach and the parking is a little scary , but other than that me and my wife enjoyed the feel of the room the service and it was just overall comfortable to be there

Loved the room-2 queen beds and a pull down bed, 2 tvs, full kitchen, etc. Happy with decore and ocean front view. Very surprised at other reviewers opinion since we thought hotel was wonderful!. Parking is indeed tight and elevators seemed a little slow. Breakfast was good and free!!

The Monterey Bay was ok at best. a lot of times my family had complained about feeling bugs in the bed which was rock hard and often tilted, the room looked as if it had not been used in ages. there where marks and dirt in the bathtub,and worst of sand in the coffee pot. the lazy river was no more then a few feet wide and only 3 feet deep and none of the pools went past 5 feet. my family and i were over all disgusted by the room and will not be returning anytime soon. the breakfast was also ok and not very various it came down to hash browns and eggs and some kind of meat. i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone i wanted to see have a good time.It wasnt really worth the time or money.

We had a great time, They made you wait until 3:00 to check in but thats ok, Parking wasnt bad you just have to watch out for people that think there race car drivers and in a hurry,Pools were great the only thing i wish they had was mixed drinks by the pools, Breakfast is good as long as you leave off the eggs , They had bacon , sasuage, french toast, gravy biscuits grits, rice krispies lucky charms , Hey its free dont complain!
