VERY DISAPPOINTED

I have stayed at Fairfield Inns in the past and had come to expect good quality for my money. BUT, I stayed for two days in connection with medical appointments and will NOT stay there again. I requested a whirlpool room because of health issues, and the whirlpool was very helpful, but any good done by the whirlpool was negated by the torturous slab that was supposed to be a bed, the air conditioner/heating unit had ants crawling around/in it, the in-room amenities did not live up to what was advertised (no microwave or fridge), and I was charged $10 more per night than quoted when I checked in. The young man at the reception desk was very nice and apologetic, and he did adjust the overage from my bill, but I will not stay at this motel again because the overall experience was not worth even a fraction of the $260+ I was charged....all I wanted to do was get away from that motel and try to repair the increased damage to my back that I had originally hoped to relieve. I should have checked out after the first night, I don't know what possessed me to put up with less than what was promised....I guess I gave too much weight to past experience and thought I was just being too picky. I'll not make that mistake again.
