Incompetent staff/NO breakfast/overcharged on room
By bfgf, 7/6/09
We were excited to stay at this hotel since we received a decent rate (held with cc over the phone) and a deluxe continental breakfast (waffles, eggs, muffins, bagels, english muffins, fruit, cereal, juices, etc) and right in front of Six Flags. To start, we arrived and were told the desk clerk was not "ready" to check us in because he was counting his money, which was laid across counter. We waited 25 minutes and decided to come back. Upon arrival, we were not even greeted by any of the 3 clerks, only one of which was checking guests in. Room was small (stand up shower/toilet in tiny room with pocket door) but clean, so no problems there. As we were leaving, we stopped by front desk to ask when shuttle runs and clerk just 1/2 points towards wall and said it's over there. Again, no customer friendliness, but okay. Next morning went down around 830 for breakfast (served 6-945)--and there were maybe 5 muffins and cereal out. No juice, no anything else but a room full of guests looking for food. Upon asking the front desk clerk (Chris)-he said, "we are out". After being told that is unacceptable, he said "we'll check". We waited for an hour and nothing. Most guests went to McDonald's and brought food back. When confronted with the question, where is the breakfast this hotel advertises, Chris replies, "we don't promise you breakfast" and walks off. Lastly, upon checkout--he rufuses a discount AND overcharges me and will not credit my card and said, "call the manager on Monday if you want" and again, walks off. Horrible, horrible guest service. Would not stay here nor recommend anyone stay here unless they get a cheap, cheap rate! (under $70) I would absolutely stay at the La Quinta; Hilton; Sheraton or even a Motel Six before I would stay at this location again ALL because of the negative and careless attitude staff has. It doesn't take much to say "welcome, thank you, have a nice day"...after all--you are in Texas!

POOR MANGAEMENT and GREEDY Hotel
By tourist_4_info, 7/15/08
I stayed at this property on July 2, 2008 for the soul purpose of going to Six Flags, which is convently, located across the street. My wife & I checked into the Hotel; put our 1 bag in the room and ran to Six Flags. While at Six Flags, my wife was injured on a ride. She went to the E.R. and they kept her. I notified the Hotel of our early check out. And they were informed of me staying at the hospital with my wife so I may make all decisions on her care as needed. The lady at the front desk said it would not be a problem for a refund., talk to the manager in the morning. I did as she said. I never received a refund. Instead I dealt with a VERY RUDE lady!!! The manager said they had a right to charge me for the room. I had no problem paying for a room I USED!! But I never got that chance. I had called a few times and left messages. The Hotel was NOT booked full or near full for that day as I did ask that night. So the room was not even needed. But I guess they like sticking it to the man! Or maybe HARD up for cash?? Anywho, the Hotel was clean & nice value. But if there is a problem, you’re screwed! I even received a REFUND from Six Flags because we were only there for what?? A whole minute? I would suggest you look to another Hotel; after all there is about 20 in the area to choose from. OH, if you go Marriott, Crown Plaza type hotels you will get COMPLIMENTARY shuttle service. This Hotel only offers a standard “bus” ride to the park, which it goes to all Hotels and it runs every hour after noon. You may be the last to get dropped off, imagine a 1-hour bus ride after you had a full day at Six Flags. I think the last thing people want to do is WAIT for the bus, and then be last one dropped off. I planned to go back with my wife when she healed, I would have stayed at this Hotel. I even asked for a free night for when I returned. The answer was NO! Very unhappy.

Very clean and friendly.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/07
The only thing wrong was the pool closes at 10:00 PM. Great walking distance from Six Flags. There are eating places close to the motel. Very accommodating and friendly staff. We highly recommend. Sharon
