Hollywood Casino & Hotel St. Louis, Maryland Heights

I have been going to Harrah's Casino for years now and since they have changed it to Hollywood Casino it has completely ruined the experience. The only positive factor was getting free hotel stay for being a high card. The casino slots are very tight. I received a bonus within a bonus 3 times for a total of 36 spins and won not more than 40 dollars on Timber Wolf and was betting 80cents a spin. After the remodel they made all machines tight to pay for it. My suggestion would be don't go here for at least about a year if you want to keep your money. The drawing was also misleading it says 500 on your ticket stub but when you get there its 100 dollars for 5 people. Just little scams like that to get people to come down there. And food at the buffet was terrible. Im just completely dissapointed at everything its not the same anymore.

I have been a Diamond member of Harrahs for years, and I went to Hollywood for the first time last night and was very very disappointed! The service was very rude - they let people smoke cigars right nex to me - I was ill when I got home. You can't order a drink by pressing a button like you used to be able to??? I will be an Ameristar consumer from here on out. Debbie Pollom

My girlfriend of 3 years and I came down from IA and stayed 2 nites at $200/nite. First day was great, gambled, no problems. Day 2 we visit the Galleria Mall and buy a nice evening dress, as she likes to look her best for me. That nite we try to enter the casino and they flag her IA license. Their facial recognition software has problems and needs to be fixed, so watch out. She's 25 years old. Two security guards checked her ID and denied us entry, so then they get a state trooper involved. His technique was to interview us separately, like they do on COPS. He asked her if she knew my name, and commented on our age differences. She offered several other forms of ID but he refused. Credit cards, school ID, etc didn't matter. After 15 minutes of harassment they finally let us in. His only goal was not to verify her age, but to check if she was a prostitute and I was a John. It was insulting, degrading, upset my girlfriend, and she eventually cried later that nite. I had to deal with it - ruined our romantic evening. No apology or anything was offered, they were just "doing their job". I asked the security guards and the hotel clerk how I could file a formal complaint, who could I contact, but there was no avenue for complaints to be filed. No one was interested, nobody cared. Harrah's just doesn't get it. Never again. Also, the casino is smoky.

When I made the reservation I spoke to a Mr Copper and he assured me a non smoking room was available. When we checked in for our 7 nite stay Mr copper comes right out to ask if we need anything else. Our room was great, clean, nice view of the grounds, very different than Las Vegas. Casino was good, Buffet was excellent, coffee shop was super.The food choises in the casino not so good. Came to see Cardinal playoff game, a 50th wedding anniversery, and old relatives at Lake Ozarks. ;Harrahs made our stay perfect. My wife coulden't be happier. We will do it again

We would not spend the night again. We got back to our room after gambling, we did not have hot water in our room. Needless to say we had to go to bed smelling like cigarette smoke. Also for the price we payed we would have expected free internet service. Very Disappointed.

For: St. Louis location only I was at the St. Louis casino on Saturday night. While playing craps, I ordered a beer. I understand that at this location, beverages are not included. During my roll, she brings my beer and says "that will be $3.00". I handed her $3.00 in chips and she said "No. It's cash only." I have to leave the table, walk out of the casino and get cash? I promptly cashed in my chips and left the casino for good. Never to return. I also took my 10 friends out with me. Not taking their own currency for beverages cost them a lot of $ that night and in the future for our group!

OVERPRICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to say the least!!! You spend hundreds to stay there and don't even get a movie channel!!! Refridge wasnt even on at all!! We ate at the buffett had to wait at least an hour to get in crab legs were scrawny had to get got to eat the tuns to get any meat. most were cold when you got to eat them!! otherwise you waited in line forever to get some!!! Staff was ok. Voodoo Lounge wasnt bad drink overpriced but band was good. I went and played slot machines early in the morning when it wasnt busy. Took forever to see a server by the time I did they stopped serving them but I could get up and go get my ownhen went to cash out my winnings that took over 10 mins. There was 2 people there to do it one man cashed a guy out with chips the closed out his window and left the rest of us standing line to wait for the slow woman to service us. Beds were comfortable but rooms were hot!! had to sleep in air conditioner and its the first week of March!! Then when we were dressing maids knocked on door and didnt identify themselves just let them selves in when I got to the door I was like you got to be kidding it was only 9:30 at that. For the amount of money spent on room you would have thought you would had free movie channels free or discount vouches on food or drinks i will never stay there again oh not to mention at $ 50.00 dollar deposit on room keys!!! SAD I stayed at a motel in Springfield Il just as nice for $50.00 a night!!!! THIS TO ME IS SAD!!!

We checked in around nine and when we booked our rooms we asked for two double beds..on arrival time they told us that our reservations were not a guarantee. They had not told us this when we made our reservations. So there for we had four adults in one king bed. They did offer to give us a roll a way. The lady at the front counter was very rude, and could care less. She said that there were no other rooms available. Going back later we talked to a manager and she had told us that there was availability for two double beds when we checked in. Makes no sense. So she asked us what we wanted her to do and we had said some money back or a room with two beds. She said she couldn't do either. Spending $230.00 to sleep on a roll a way bed is very unexceptable. I wouln't recommend this hotel to anyone because it is never a guarantee. Also we had asked for a non-smoking room and of course we got stuck in a smoking room. Terrible service. I will NOT be coming back to stay in this hotel. The least they could have done was offered to make it good with us but all the hotel management and employees would say is, "what do you want me to do about it" in a very rude way.

I did nto like the fact that at the casino the dealers had bad attitudes,also the games were so tight it was terrible, I go to harrahs aleast twice a month but they way it was I may go elsewhere

When I visit the Harrah's St.louis casino on July 7, 2007, I was overwhelmed by the Mardi Gras experiences: Good food, good beverages, excellent gaming, and wonderful decors. When I was there I played the Blackjack(21)game...It was the bomb-diggity!!!! I won $125.00 and only spent $50.00. I also love the fact that they had places (restaurants) that kids can enjoy themselves along with their families. To me I felt like I was in Los Vegas! I can't wait to go back! St.louis is a awesome town when it comes to gaming and style! P.S I'm lovin St.louis
