Reasonably priced
By J.J., 5/23/12
The Wifi was awesome and free. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was amazingly nice. Conveniently located next to Budget and Avis rent-a-car, McDonalds, and Bob Evans. Really enjoyed our stay. A/C and heat worked well. $28.00 City cab ride from Dover AFB visitor center.

Wrong Room, Smelly, Dirty and Pets
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/11
We reserved this hotel online. The pictures were very misleading. We reserved a king-suite with a jacuzzi but when we arrived.... We parked and instantly noticed the terrible film on the windows. We also noticed that the corner rooms on the left had broken window shades. The room next had to that had curtains that were gathered together and tied into a knot. The very shady girl who walked around from the back of the hotel must have been a "working girl" who was staying at the hotel. The front lobby had a terrible musty smell. The sign on the front door that said these doors are locked from dusk til dawn was kind of scary. The carpet in the hallways of floor 3 had large 1'x1' patches missing. We went into our room and the bed looked like it had been used just prior to our visit. The couch was stained in several places. When I noticed that this was not the room we reserved (jacuzzi in room) so we went to call the front desk but there was no phone! The cord was there but the phone was gone. We decided to go to the front desk and found that the people across from us had a dog that wouldnt stop barking when he heard our door open. The front desk was very accomodating when we told her about the phone - she seemed shocked. When we told her about the dog across the hall, she seemed shocked and said that someone must have snuck in the dog because they allow pets but only in a certain area of the hotel. We requested a refund and we would go elsewhere and she was very accomodating and apologized. Probably not a bad place for a bunch of guys attending the race but definitely not a place for families or a romantic weekend for couples.

Not the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/4/11
Came here for a getaway weekend for my mom 65th birthday. The first room we went into had a musky smell. I called immediately and she blamed the smell on the hurricane. She switched us to a suite with a king size bed on the first floor but had the same smell, so on the third try we got a room on the 2nd floor. No smell but very outdated. Had microwave (hard closing the door), living room area, very large bathroom and jacuzzi tub, a fridge that has never been defrosted (I almost ripped it open and couldn't close it back because of the ice. The curtains were faded, carpets looked like they had water stains in certain areas (even in the hallways), I was scared to sit in the sofa (the arms looked very dark), cobwebs, the remote for the tv's were screwy (the remote in the living room turned on the tv in the bedroom because the remote in the bedroom didnt turn the channels, but didnt turn on the tv in the bedroom...go figure), you could see the bad caulking job in certain areas of the bathroom, didn't like that there was no closet but an armoire to hang our clothes, the elevator smelled like urine, and not the greatest selection for the breakfast. The staff was friendly and accommodating when I wanted another room. Overall experience was fair but will look at another hotel next time we visit Dover.

Get what you pay for...

Check in Friday. Check out Sunday.Cracks in bathroom sink, room not cleaned on Saturday. Notified hotel staff. Came back to only clean towels. A clean coffee pot for the morning would have been appreciated. Bulb missing from wall light, keycard for room entrance deactivated 3 times, disappointed with breakfasts. Hotel needs revamping and better housekeeping management.

ok. stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/2/07
i would prefer a heated pool inside the hotel. The was a little cramped but, i enjoyed the stay. The location was good, easy access to the casino.

A little disappointed
By MsVirginia2003, 10/30/06
I picked this hotel because the casino's hotel was booked for the weekend. Overall, my experience here was good. The front desk staff were very friendly and my check-in was quick. The room was clean and comfortable but the hallway smelled of burning incense. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. There wasn't much of a selection or variety compared to other Comfort Suites. The waffles tasted like the batter was old or sour. I would probably stay here again since I partipate in their rewards program but I'd go someplace else for breakfast.

Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/06
Dirty and run down, unhelpful service and double charged my credit card for the night. Several people were getting rooms there-one had requested a king size bed and got a double/another had flooding in their room and was told they were unable to move to another.

Tight Suites
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/05
I had difficulty getting into bed as it was very close to the heat pump. If this was a typical "comfort","suite", we were not very comfortable nor was our experience all that sweet.

We are going back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/05
My best girlfriend and I spent our first annual overnight stay at the Comfort Suites in Dover, Delaware on the Saturday before Martin Luther King, Jr.'s holiday. We had a wonderful time. We decided that as long as we continue to have the same experience, we will try to make it our place to stay. The value was tremendous, the breakfast on Sunday morning was great. The staff was quite friendly. We were looking for a safe, clean place to hang out and convenient to Dover Downs.

A crowded room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/04
For a "Suite" hotel, our room was very crowded. I couldn't get out of the bed as it was right against the air conditioning unit.
