Regency Inn and Suites Mckinney, McKinney

I needed a weekend get away looked online and found this hotel it was in my budget and close to home I was very shocked to find that it was the only indoor heated pool and spa in McKinney when I got there and seen that the hotel was very clean the customer service was nice very friendly people..the rooms was very put together and very spacious.Had a great spread for breakfast..I will return and recommend people to this hotel friends and family this hotel has the other super 8 and motel 6 beat!

I liked everything about this place. It is very clean on the inside and out. A great value for the price. The staff is very friendly as well. Our room was quiet and clean. The kids loved the pool. Very pretty. I would recommend anyone to stay there if they want to stay at a value price!

We stopped here because we were tired. BIG MISTAKE. Both outter doors were hanging off their hinges, allowing anyone who wanted to enter free access, day or night. We were charged for a "safe" rental fee, but strangely, there was no safe key! When we objected to the fee, the proprietor said he HAD to charge. So we demanded a key. It took several hours for him to come up with the key. There were roaches in the bathtub, a large amount of mold on the shower curtain, and the place stunk of cigarettes. Never Never Again will we set foot on that property. It was undoubtedly the worst motel we ever have stayed at.

This facility is not a three star facility. The room was dirty and in disrepair. Switches and plugs did not work. The floors needed vacuuming. The room, though designated as non-smoking reeked with smoking odor as did the hallways also designated non smoking. The advertised continental breakfast was meager at best. On the plus side and the reason we chose the hotel was the location and cost for a three star facility. We stay in Holiday Inn Express, most of which are rated three star, quite regularly and the cost of this facility and its rating led us to believe the quality would be camparible and the location good. Our mistake! This is not a three star facility and we will never stay there again and probably not use Yahoo to evaluate facilities again.

What I disliked about this hotel. The sauna was out of working order(door knob was completely gone, you could tell it had been out of working order), jacuzzi was out of order (would have been nice to relax in this), and the indoor pool was also out of order (it had a temperature reading of 65 degrees, if that worked right, COLD) I put my foot in and had to pull it right out it was so cold. My children stayed in maybe 10 minutes at the most. Two of the outside entry ways into the hotel also did not lock. Anyone could enter building. It was a disappointment.
