Bare Minimum Subsistence Quality

The one bedroom apartment was quite spacious for one person. The housekeeping staff was diligent if not a bit overchallenged. There were weekly clean linens, the floors were vacuumed, the bed remade, and the bathtub scrubbed. The price was also quite reasonable. That's the good stuff.
The furniture wouldn't be acceptable at a Goodwill Store. The only time the linoleum in any room gets mopped is when you do it yourself. The kitchen work surfaces are also subject to self maintenance. The carpets appear to have nearly as many oil stains as the parking lot. The last time there was an interior paint job was when the place was brand new. The interior lighting is unacceptable for reading (I bought my own reading lamp). The TV, on about half the channels has a high pitched buzz that cannot be "adjusted" out. The WiFi internet hookup is virtually nonexistent, for example: only 1/2 hr of continuous hookup out of the last four days. The satellite TV is a horrendous amalgamation of sports shows, news, series reruns and movie channels that recycle their "premium movies" every couple hours for an excrutiating month. The neighbors tend to let their kids run free at any hour and any use of the trash receptacles on the premises can be only described as accidental. The overall impression of the exterior is that of a trashy trailer park.
But, if your looking for a cheap place that has a few more amenities than the "Y", this is the spot for you.
