Wonderful friendly staff and great location
I had stayed at the Comfort Suites Seattle Downtown about 4 years ago and enjoyed my stay so much I decided to stay again when I traveled to Seattle from Victoria, BC for my 50th birthday last
week. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cut my trip down to a day trip from an overnighter (my wallet went "missing" an hour after I arrived in Seattle before I checked into the hotel).
When I finally arrived at the Comfort Suites and explained that I had a reservation but that I was not able to check-in, and the reason why, the two young men at the front desk were so kind and
helpful to me (as was the nice young lady at the Ride the Duck kiosk near Westlake Center). Without hesitation they let me use their phone (I don't have a cell phone) to call Kenmore Air to arrange for a flight back home that afternoon and to call back home to borrow my boss' credit card number. I was also told that there would not be a hotel cancellation penalty.
Overall the service that was provided to me was professional, courteous and above the call of duty. I was even given a complimentary ride to the Kenmore Air terminal in their courtesy shuttle
van. The only disappointment was that I was not able to stay (my choice) due to the fact that I had no money, cash, debit or credit cards. But by the late evening, after I had settled in back home, I was already planning my return trip to take up where I had left off. In fact last night I booked 2 nights at the hotel for next month.
I recommend The Comfort Suites Seattle Downtown based on the great location (just off the highway and a short 5 - 7 minute easy walk to the Space Needle and the monorail), and, as I
remember from my first stay, they have the best breakfast spread of any hotel I've stayed at anywhere, with the bright and spacious breakfast room just off the lobby. I look forward to my next visit
and spending a bit more time at the Comfort Suites.
