Safety, Convenience and Distance
By Beegee, 1/30/10
I like prompt response to customer needs. The only problem was i tried getting a taxi to go get a sim cardand toilettries, almost waited indefinately. The absence of internet in our rooms (because you need to go to another room - breakfast room)was a challenge however,it turned to create a networking opportunity - i met two guys from Estonia and we became friends.

They really know how to roll out the red carpet.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/08
This place has a unique policy for a hotel. At 12 midnight, they just close. If you arrive after midnight, as I did, too bad. Night manager? Nope. Call them? Nope--just an answering machine saying "closed". There is a very nice Best Western, a few doors down. The manager there told me he gets lots of business from folks foolish enough to assume the Inn of Rosslyn is staffed 24 hours a day. And yes, after saying they wouldn't, the Inn of Rosslyn charged my credit card, as a no-show.

Has everything you NEED
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
Our son goes to Georgetown and we went to DC to see him and the sites. We were not there to relax in a fancy motel- hot tub, pool, internet, etc. This motel had all that you NEED, was very clean, surprisingly quiet at night. The staff all were very kind and helpful, especially Paul, the handyman and shuttle driver. It is an older building but has been kept up very nicely. We used the ironing board to put our toiletries, etc on as the bath didn't have a large counter. We made due and saved a ton of money!! We WILL go back there when we visit our son again. It was a nice walk to Rosslyn metro station but we did use the shuttle a couple of times. We never saw any bugs at all.

Great budget hotel
By Sandie, 7/22/07
We (family of 4 on a strict budget) stayed in July for 2 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and adequate for our needs. The location was fantastic-- about 15 minutes to Metro although we took the free hotel shuttle there in the am. Although next to busy Arlington Blvd., the hotel is actually on Fairfax Dr. which has a safe sidewalk. Trendy Rosslyn area is minutes away! The room was well insulated and we slept well on both nights. Do get up early for free breakfast of bagels, O.J. and donuts as the donuts go fast. I would definitely stay again.

Nice rooms, shower lacking
By arbitrator, 6/13/06
The room and the clerks were inviting and nice. The shower had trouble running in the morning. Everything else was fine. I just hd trouble getting a full flow of water from the shower.

ROACHES!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/26/05
I am currently finishing up my final year of Law School, and was in the Washington/VA area attending a conference. A friend and I thought we could save a little cash by staying in Rosslyn at this "hotel". Upon arrival, we were treated very kindly by the staff and proceeded to our rooms. Upon returning to our rooms later that evening, I went into the bathroom and there were two roaches scurrying inside the bathtub and roaches on the floor!! I called the front desk, and the manager tried to blame the roaches on "construction" behind the building. When my friend and I wouldn't accept the manager's offer for another room, the staff helped us find another hotel in the area. We were desparate to sleep anywhere else, and reserved a room with another hotel for considerably more. They claim to be the "cleanest hotel in VA", but that is a SERIOUS MISREPRESENATION! Simply put, it was cheap, but it had roaches.

Decent for What I Paid
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/04
The title pretty much sums it up...it was clearly old, but everything was clean and neat. My only complaint was the shower in our room...we jokingly referred to it as the "water fountain" because it was literally a trickle. Pretty close to the Rosslyn metro station, about 4 blocks. They also have a shuttle during the day to the metro station. Not a bad overall trip, don't know if I'd stay there again, but I got my money's worth for what I spent.
